As much as I am glad Day gains his sight back, I feel his arc is not fleshed out well to show what he has learnt from this difficult chapter in his life. The last part of the final episode emphasized things went back to normal for Day as if he has never lost his sight -- he is on good terms again with his family and friends, with the addition of his relationship with Mhok.
If the key message is for people to give themselves second chances, up to part 3 was perfect. I feel the part 4 worked out pretty well only thanks to the cast's fantastic performance (especially Sea's)!
Hope we will see MhokDay again in OurSkyy! Seems there are still some stories to tell given the timeskips in the final episode.
I really like Wang Quan Sheng and Chen Yun Ru's interactions in the movie. Yun Ru didn't only save his life, but she managed to influence him and change his perspective about the world. And of course this is due to what Yu Xuan told her in the seriesâ finale.
In the series, both of them are more passive and I am glad in the movie they are the one who 'fixed it' for everyone.
What a fantastic finale! Seeing everyone gets the new beginning they deserve after the struggles they endured is cathartic.
Li Ming's dynamics with Jim and his mom are heartwarming. Despite his hardship, the kid doesn't hold any grudges and instead channels them into a positive mindset for a better future. Among the adults in the series, this new adult is indeed the most mature.
The journey that Heart's mom take is also satisfying, from how she was antagonistic toward Li Ming until she acknowledged and could appreciate her son's happiness together with him. Kudos to the actress who plays her for the wonderful performance; almost all her scenes are emotional and intense.
The series succeeds in portraying that age is just a number, and the limit we see is set by ourselves. Of course, it's more complex than it sounds in real life, but it's still a very good reminder for everyone. Another is that our past can unknowingly haunt us for the longest time, so we should know when to let go.
Heart, Liming, do your best in America! I am glad that in this universe, you managed to get together too.
Thank you, P'Aof and the entire cast, for this beautiful story!
The short scene where Wen returned the keys to Alan is so good. Thatâs the first time I saw Alan smiled genuinely at Wen (not including the flashback).
They have been through a lot, and itâs great to see at least they can accept where they are in each otherâs lives and start healing from now on. Maybe they can be good friends again one day.
and resolve any potential conflict through meaningful conversations < this! Honestly we are all tired of conflicts…
Yes! I am relieved that some plots from the Mock trailer were rewritten, notably Gun getting angry with Tinn for being unable to attend Hot Wave. Instead, we get to observe Gun understanding Tinn's situation and encouraging him to do his best, as he will for Hot Wave.
The actress that plays Tinn's mom is so good. Her maternal instinct during the last few episodes is pristine. I wished we could see her and Gun's mom interact more, just chilling at the school milk cafe. Maybe we will get that in Our Skyy 2.
A big shoutout to the actress who acts as Tinnâs mom. Her performance and maternal instinct shine throughout this episode. Despite her relatively limited scenes with us before this episode, her character growth is one of the best part of this show. At the end of the day, she is always at Tinnâs side.
And wow those 2 new songs are so good. Canât wait to loop them endlessly on Spotify.
Honestly I thought I will feel much emptier after the end credit, but this finale is wholesome with a warm afterglow. I know they have each other and will do well in their universe.
Many thanks Chinzhilla for the amazing Fridays for the past few months!
From this series we have seen some fantastic talents. I look forward to their future projects, and hopefully it wont be a long wait!
I get that Jim doesnât want Li Ming to go through the same hardship he endured, but man, by saying it this way to Li Ming, wouldnât the poor kid blame himself to be born that way? Jim of all people should know how it feels and offer him a safe space or at least listening ears.
I hope the preview snippet is just a bait.
Hopefully Li Mingâs mom can be the wiser and offer better guidance to him in the next episode.
With 3 episodes remaining, I am curious how Wen and Jim relationship will evolve.
Honestly I think Wen is not ready for another relationship, and especially not with Jim at the moment.
Wen fell out of love and itâs not surprising. Based on the limited scenes with Alan, we can see he is submissive towards Alan who is more dominant, while at the same time taking mental notes and getting annoyed by him. Also, his indecisiveness during the break-up is alarming.
He should take more time-off by himself to learn from this chapter before embarking on a new journey. I canât see Jim helping him in this aspect effectively either with his own fair shares of problem.
If they rush this, Wen may fall out of love with Jim too once the honeymoon period ends.
The Chinzhilla argument scene was intense and very well acted. I feel terrible for Gun in that scene.
He left his mom in the hospital and chose to perform with his bandmates instead. He deserves way better than being lashed out at like that, and equally surprising is that none of his bandmates stepped up to defend him either.
If this is what his close friends do (dehydrated or not), he should consider finding better ones. He deserve healthier relationships in his life than this.
âAnd I think, for him, I would become a nobody in no time.â - JW
Itâs really unfortunate how JW misjudged the entire situation. They were in a relationship for a while; they both have seen how each other gave their best, so JW should be able to foresee how much pain he would put SJ into if he suddenly left like that. SJ displayed loyalty throughout the relationship, so I wonder how JW could think he would be replaced that easily.
Please people, just talk.
Also, happiness could be blinding. We should check with our partner regularly to understand how they are feeling.
God, that's so satisfying! Finally, Kongthap is starting to be more open about what he wants too.

Not sure if itâs my sound system, but the sound of the waves was too loud to fully immerse myself in the conversation.
