New York is known for their racism towards Asians specifically...so many people were randomly hitting/punching…
It's very apparent you saw my comment as an argument...or ‘condescending’ as you say. My intention was not to incite an argument, but it seems your hostile language has turned it into one.

I'd like to make it clear that I am not Asian. I'm Native American and I don't speak on behalf of anyone else's race. I'm defending Asians because I believe that all people are individuals. Initially, my comments were solely focused on Asians, in line with the topic of the article and comments. However, the discussion was redirected towards your race. So, if that's the game we're playing, I'll speak from my own cultural standpoint too.

Firstly, my people have suffered enormously throughout history since Columbus, so don't talk as if I don't know anything about injustice. Less than 1% of Native Americans graduate from college. Even with this horrible statistic, I would never want an Asian to be held back on my behalf because I believe in fair treatment for all races.

As for not mentioning specific ethnicities, it's because despite what you may think, I was not targeting any single one race. I'm going to assume you're narrow-minded if you think that the words "ethnic" and "race" only apply to one race.

Now when you say this: "Oh, you want to deny it??? But you wrote this, didn't you???: 'However, I do believe ONE big factor that contributes to success is education culture. In Asia, discipline and tradition is strongly emphasized and upheld in comparison to other ethnic groups.'
You have the audacity to imply in your commentary that I am playing to a stereotype about Asians, but that didn't stop you from doing the same about black people.’"
Here is my response to this... In what way am I stereotyping Black people? My statement was a fact about Asians. It’s true that discipline and tradition is important in Asian culture. It’s a fact that these values are upheld and passed down from generation to generation. It stemmed from a philosophy: Confucianism. Again, no where do I explicitly state OR imply a stereotype about Black people. I am not attacking any one race.

When you say "Disagreeing with a point I never made", did I not say "some people”? I wasn't saying YOU commented that, nor was I implying that. My topic was on how Harvard is not accepting Asians, so by "some" people I am referring to those. I do acknowledge that this is a mistake on my part for not clearly stating this. My intention was to never mislead anyone.

Also since you kept asking rhetorical questions, here's a question for you, when you say this "No, this condescending so-called response of yours is often the Asian attitude toward black people: default to stereotypes & ignorance."
You keep talking like you're against stereotypes but aren't you generalizing Asians here? What about Native Americans? Do we have an attitude too? So much for stereotypes.

tbh I think #TheYearWeTurned29 is not it 🫣 I want her next project to be solo lead drama or together with veteran…
I don't think she will do the project because her new agency announced that they will be suing the production company for this drama. They are filing a lawsuit against Raemong Raein. https://www.mk.co.kr/en/society/11034527

Just curious, how do Asians "go out of their way to align themselves to whiteness as much as possible"? With my knowledge, many races have wanted to be accepted by Whites. I don't believe it only applies to Asians. Nowadays some people like to argue that just because Asians are perceived to be more successful than other ethnic groups, they're more privileged. Personally I disagree with this statement. However, I do believe ONE big factor that contributes to success is education culture. In Asia, discipline and tradition is strongly emphasized and upheld in comparison to other ethnic groups. Asians immigrated to the U.S.. They started from scratch, whereas white people conquered and claimed this land as theirs. Europeans had the whole system set up. Then there's also the model minority myth. The perception that Asians are equated with whiteness and excluded from race stems from this myth. It supports the idea that Asians are super successful and don't face racism and discrimination like other people of color, but in reality Asians communities are diverse, and often face discrimination and struggles too.

Asian hate has been going on for a long time but it definitely got worse after Covid. Not to mention universities like Harvard aren't accepting Asians into their school as much because they want to be "more diverse." They believe Asians to be privileged and compare them to White people....the hypocrisy.

enjoyed the movie, the dynamic and storytelling but all the problems would have been resolved if the Guy knew…
honestly..or all the problems could have been solved if he had the confidence to just tell her he liked her from the beginning. this is why you don't wait to tell someone you have feelings for them 😭 😭 especially pretending to just like them as a friend

It's kinda eh, the plot isn't very interesting so far. Reminds me of the drama "Something in The Rain." Older…
I only called it a slow-burn because something in the rain and one spring night is under that genre. I guess i'll have to wait to see if it's the same for this one! I have only fully watched those 2 series by the director and I really enjoyed them.

You guys recommend this? I like Wi Ha Joon and I've been looking for something to watch after I dropped QOT
It's kinda eh, the plot isn't very interesting so far. Reminds me of the drama "Something in The Rain." Older FL and younger ML, a slow-burning romance, same atmosphere overall.

great another kpop idol to steal roles from actors 😒🙄Let's at least hope she does many supporting roles…
damn give her a chance at least 😭 you act like you know her personally...if she acts poorly they probably won't cast her again. Who knows, she could be really good at acting like park jihoon or jisoo
