Hey there, I'm Nadia and I've been watching k-dramas since 2011 - I am thus somewhat of a k-drama-elder. I'm bad at keeping up with the current dramas, and prefer to browse through the annals, choosing anything that sounds good to me at the moment. I'd love to connect with any of you - let's fan girl together :P

My lore:

My appreciation for east Asian pop culture and media began, as it usually goes, with anime. In 2007 I started watching Avatar the last Airbender (on TV back then lol) after which my bff and I started watching Naruto and it was a slippery slope from there. 

My first touch point with South Korean pop culture came around 2011, when Youtube recommended SHINEE's "Hello" to me - I was obsesseddd and SHINEE is still the only k-pop band I would call myself a real fan of (I was too busy being a Directioner back then to really commit to k-pop hehe). But what I COULD commit to was k-dramas, which were my next discovery shortly after k-pop. 

It was hard to find k-dramas with english subs back then, but I watched everything I could get my hands on: Sungkyunkwan Scandal, You're Beautiful, Boys over Flowers, Coffee Prince, Playful Kiss, as well as movies like 200 Pound Beauty or 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant. 

Then life happened and I took a break from dramas, but I had the privilege of spending 1 university semester in Seoul, which reignited my love and in 2020 I restarted my k-drama journey. It's been a non-stop ride since then and I can't imagine going without them again!
