possible unpopular opinion but nianju is low-key useless as a human. he's not really bringing much to the story/plot.…
Agreed. The time that can be spent showing the main leads is wasted on him and Ruling.

After finishing episode 24 I am still missing their interactions from the earlier episodes. I know, she needs…
Yup. Even though I like the boundaries TY has set and SJ has respected, but the fun is not there because SJ is a stranger in this timeline who she was in love with "18 years ago" and 'falling in love' with him again in this timeline feels forced to me. Like she has to because she once was and because he's a completely devoted puppy. In Ep.23-24, I actually forwarded all scenes of the villains and SML and Snake Ruling. Not interested in any of them. And there are just 9 episodes left with 2-3 arcs to be wrapped up.

As i said recently you can check the symbol as a spoiler.it seems they will kill tingyan in the end so she can…
@raisins @moise @shaoyaoville @tom there are scenes of TY & SJ in the modern current world - in trailer as well as in online spoiler videos - after TY wakes up from the car accident, she meets SJ (who is either the owner of the other car or her boss in the present day). Maybe she'll think she has woken up from a weird dream, but we deserve to see happy scenes in present day without any danger to either of them, preferably without amnesia.

1) I feel 33 episodes are too few: I want SJ interacting with Tingyan in her modern world - which is Tingyan's real world and real life. All this immortal / demon / emperor world stuff is not Tingyan's original life or world or problem. And that's the point missing from all of their interactions - the truth about where she's actually from. The novel sells the idea that 2 people are 'meant for each' no matter which world they may be in. Where's the convo about her actual world?

2) Plus, without the memories, Tingyan has a totally different personality in the demon arc, it's a bit of a forced romance / seduction - they just have a 'soul connection'. Spring bath tub sessions are great but there's no genuine happiness. They have no interaction to 'get to know each other' in the demon world, everything is awkward and gloomy, time is running out, doom is coming. At least that's how I feel right now.

i guess in the 1st ep when she had a car accident, it was him in the other car
That's my guess too. And I hope they show their relationship in this modern world too - without amnesia tropes.

This is an easy-on-the-eyes fantasy drama & I'm enjoying it. The entire cast is doing great especially the leads (and I'm sure the villain QSL is having the time of his life). However, I am irritated by the fact that in the Celestial arc LTY never mentions to SJ that she is actually from the modern 'human' world despite enjoying an extremely intimate soul & physical connection with him, & in Ep.19 she did nothing to save herself despite high cultivation even on Tan Mountain (& it was Ruling who got her to stand on her feet and 'saved' her). Despite knowing that everyone is out to kill her boyfriend she never takes the initiative to learn a few life-saving skills or understand that not everyone is trustworthy (essential to her own survival, let alone SJ's),

Even now in the Demon World, SJ is doing everything to protect her at the cost of his own health (to even bring the backstabbing Ruling who tried to kill him in Celestial arc to life just to make LTY happy - he doesn't know that Honglulu is Ruling but will soon for sure). It feels like a one-way street of damsel-in-distress and all-powerful bodyguard.

I find both Ruling and Snake as irritants in every arc.

I for one, want to see SJ and LTY living and interacting in the 2025 era at the end of the series to see how joyful and carefree they are when the threats on their lives in each arc have truly gone away and to see SJ in modern era. SJ and LTY relationship journey makes the drama watchable.

I liked the webnovel, its focus on mental health and societal issues such as alienation of both kids and adults due to teen sex & pregnancy, patriarchy, domestic violence or divorce. The changes in this adaptation are reasonable and add layers to the story. However, the last 2 episodes bungled up the very realistic reasons for FL'+ML sort-of separation & GT & what they ended up doing together as a couple 16 years later for the community and teenagers. I've done a video essay on the series and character sketches, that I'd like to share with all of you here.
