I feel like after spending all that time together for whatever might be the reason, a person gets emotionally attached; because there are moments in the series where they showed that he(gi-cheul) took him(jun-mo) to his mom,,, he also had a little conversation with his sister. Little things can affect a person a lot, that's what I think, from my pov.
