So The Untamed dropped their poster at 9am on airing day. Word of Honour dropped their trailer at 4pm. The only possible thing for us is the first ep dropping at 6pm because Tencent's 8pm slot is taken. T-1 hr.

Yeah I get it. I just don't agree with their approach. It doesn't hurt to be frank with fans. I will still wait for the airing on the 20th because I think a decent company, if they see rumours circulating of a show of theirs airing and its untrue, they should outright make a statement that the rumour is untrue rather than lead fans on. Either HYX airs, or something major better happen to stop them, otherwise I reckon it's no joke that the fans in China will start going on a Tencent murder rampage.

If that's the case, then they need to give up on all promotions and send it straight to streaming. You either trust that there's a market for this and go for broke, or you gotta cut your losses and quietly release this for fans only. Any successful business guy will tell you that luck is man made.

Last I heard, Tencent is a huge platform in China. I just cannot understand why they act like they're some piss poor, independent platform when it comes to HYX and cower at any threat that comes HYX's way. The whole advantage of being a rich company is so you can influence public sentiment. Even if what happened on the 13th made them withdraw their scheduled announcement, they could have given the fans something to hint that that is the case. Clearly they don't care. Or, someone from marketing needs to get fired.

SO angry about that bait. There was no need to bait us just to disappoint us. All of us will probably still watch HYX even if it doesn't air till next year, but we def won't be giving Tencent any attention once HYX is done.

Hahah same. I like Xiao Zhan and Yangzi, but from what I can see in the trailer the story looks pretty dull. And the lines are so cringe. I'd probably still watch it (lol), but I won't be as excited as the others. Chinese olden day dramas are usually much more interesting and looks prettier!

I didn't mind it. I thought it was sorely needed to deepen CWNs feelings for Mo Ran so that it wasn't just a shallow teacher/disciple like. They got to spend more alone time together, and CWN got to experience a Mo Ran that wasn't biased or hateful towards him.
And yeah, like the others have said, Mo Ran is just too dumb to notice anything so dw. XD

I thought this too, but then I heard that Oath of Love is set to air August 8th and my heart dropped. Xiao Zhan just got revealed to be one of Tencent's ambassadors so that pretty much guarantees his drama will air soon. Hopefully you're right about them airing a costume drama. Fingers crossed!

I haven't read SPL so I'm biased to HYX. :) But you're right, we most likely won't be getting them airing one after another or even close to each other. If we want both of them this year, Tencent needs to drop either of them NOW!!

I must admit, I haven't read the book. My source is literally mydramalist and Novel updates. lol. If it's not BL, then shouldn't they change their labelling? Novel updates also has 'seme protagonist'. Very misleading.
