Please don't get my feedback as merely a hate post. I love the series, I love BrightWin, and I love the casts. But loving a series doesn't mean you will not point out its weaknesses. In fact, out of all the BL series I've watched, this overtook Addicted Heroin as my favorite BL series. It had the potential, but it was not properly developed at the end. I have to point out what went wrong so it could be corrected. What if GMMTV decided to give this a second season? Do we want it to be another let go and another missed opportunity? No, we don't. Hence, this is where feedback becomes helpful. We just need to be open to it and see other people's perspectives. In the end, it will be for the benefit of the series.
I won't say anything about the acting or the lack of skinship because I am trying to let that pass. HOWEVER damn…
The novels were actually great. The main plot of the novel is Tine's internalization of his struggles and emotions for Sarawat. The ending was perfect in the novel. Jittirain is a good writer, it's just that the series didn't strictly follow the novel at all.
I'll say this, and it will be unpopular as hell with the purity culture folks, but if they had stuck more with…
This is what I've been saying. Tine's POV is really essential to the storyline. If they just follow strictly follow the novels, then it would not disappoint us at all.
As someone who has read the novels, if only they followed it then I would not be complaining at all. I'm not gonna lie. They had us in the first half, but after they got together, the director feels like "okay let's fuck this up" and did his shenanigans. It made me realize that the director must be friends with David Benioff and DB Weiss of Game of Thrones cause they are good at messing up series. I am so maaddddd right now.
2gether The Series tells us that it doesn't necessarily need excessive skinship and over-sexualization to portray a homo love story. Subtle body languages and gestures are enough to express one's feelings to someone. It is still love in the absence of sex.
CONS
This series started great but lost its momentum in the last few episodes. Can we have a Season 2 with better editing and directing? I feel like the actors have so much potential but were robbed of their chances to showcase their talents. The novel storyline is really impressive because it's all about Tine's POV on how he comes in terms of his feelings for Sarawat. Tine's emotions and struggles are the plots itself. Sadly, the series didn't follow it at all. Hence, some episodes were so shallow as if you feel like they skipped timelines and mind-boggling. It had the potential, but man it was wasted.
I don't know if this was the first BL series of the director but man if you're going to direct a BL series then might as well be comfortable with two guys making out, holding hands, and kissing right?
If the lead actors' managers think their talents will lose projects in the future if they allow more intimate scenes between the two, then Mario Maurer is waving at you guys.
The finale was good, yet still better than Tharntype finale which is so cringe-y. Anyway, I hope if BrightWin will have future BL projects then might as well have P'Aof as the director.
It's like you're asking for more meat, but get served with all side dishes.
Do not throw each person into the same sack, because majority are complaining about very normal thing. I will…
As far as I know, the Male Raikantopeni signifies that it is PG-18 whereas the Female Raikantopeni is PG-13. Anyone may feel free to correct me on this.
With regards to the ratings, MDL made a mistake on the profile. Someone submitted a request for change of rating. Hence, it dropped from PG-18 to PG-13.
With lack of sexual or intimate scenes, this could be blamed to the television network. Personally, I think the actors are up for steamy scenes if they are allowed to. In fact in one of their interviews in OK Thailand magazine, they admitted that they improvised and added some of the kiss and cuddle scenes in the series.
Nonetheless, I think I like the fact that intimate scenes are subtle in this series. From the start, the series gives us a feel good and wholesome vibes so I'd like to keep it that way. The show must be telling, "go fuck with your imagination." Hahahahaha
I cannot believe some people are complaining about 2gether for not having sexual scenes. The fact that it's being aired on GMMTV and hearing the female raikantopeni should already give you an idea that its rated PG-13. How could you all miss the signs?
Sure, everyone has their favorite BL series. We get that and we respect it. But we cannot allow some of you invalidating other fans' excitement and fondness of the series as merely "overreaction"? Why is everyone so pressed with the amount of attention this series is getting? We should be celebrating because this series IMO paved way for other great BL series to be binge-watched and appreciated.
I hate when some of you have to pull down the show just to pull up your faves. That's not how it works, hun. Of all the BL series and films I watched in the past, this one tops it all. I've never felt such great chemistry between the lead couple and I like the storyline being so light and good feels. It reminds me of my puppy love-crush stage back in high school and in college.
Now, if you don't like the series at all, then don't watch it. It will just stress you out. The people behind this show doesn't live to please you and your expectations. Watch other shows and stay pressed. Thank you.
