I hope some people realize that others genuinely enjoy watching a happy show that is filled with love, starred by two characters that are irrevocably in love with each other. That we want a show that reminds us that being in love is nice and that there's nothing wrong with rooting for their happiness after years of tragedy, fails and errors.
That when the show advertised itself as a romcom, it stayed as a romcom at the end. That something simple and true to its nature could be great. This was just a love story that had time travel in it. If you opt out the logic in it, it's still something that deserves its 10s because they present it in a way that would leave the audience satisfied. That the show runners understood what we have been missing after all these years by presenting us this gem of a show.
Lovely Runner did its job, even with its flaws. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'll sleep peacefully knowing that Lovely Runner's so loved by Korea that they can't get enough of them and that every other day, we get surprising clips of them being on the news. Staff, extras and actors praising each other on interviews— or their own socials— and hearing that they, too, are having a hard time moving on from the show. I'm glad that I was part of this large family.
