This should have been titled Love by Phone. Every freaking conversation gets interrupted by a message or call. Not every minute goes by without the phone. The writer didnt seem to know how to portray the FL here. She's a journalist and every interaction with the ML in the first 3/4 of the drama seems awkward and quiet. To top it all, so much misunderstandings here.
So I watched the whole drama in 3days. When I do that it means the drama is so good that I cannot do anything😂. Anyways part I was really good and captivated my heart. The merman had a really beautiful tail that I fell in love the first time I laid my eyes on him. I kept wishing I would see more of his tails but was kind of disappointed 😞. We got a small peak of it when he fought against Fairy in the second one, but that was like a drop of water, not enough to quench my thirst. Anyways, I gave part II a lower rating compared to part I because I just got tired of everyone sacrificing themselves for the greater good. How many times has the FL sacrificed herself? And the ML? Then the supporting leads as well?? Everyone is so selfless... too many sacrifices. And C dramas tend to give happy ending at the end which I like but please make it longer!
First few episodes were interesting but after ep 24, I was dragging myself to finish this show. Ep 27, i found out theres total of 45episodes. That's it! I'm dropping this show.
This drama has brought me out of my drama slump. I watched multiple dramas and could not even go past first episode. But with this drama, I watched 7eps in one day! Just the way I like it, light and not too much hatred/revenge. FL- she's strong and definitely smart. It's good that things don't need to be explained to her and does not misunderstand the ML. She knew that ML is doing all these to protect her n her family. Her family are awesome. ML-acting is superb. How can he have different faces when he's happy, serious, sad, jealous? He just looks adorable. I seem to have found my new boyfriend (Neo). Who is this boy and how come I have never seen him before? Drama would have been perfect, but the kissing scenes just needed to be upgraded. It's basically just two lips touching.
Good story, good chemistry. I like that the male lead has a different career compared to other C dramas that we have never seen before(always businessman or lawyers). I also like that fact that they focus on his career so viewers get an idea what an aero engineer is like. From first episode, I was already hooked and I couldnt get out of it. Ended up finishing in less than 3days. I like that there was no evil character in this drama, every drama always has a protagonist and this drama proved that you do not need an evil family or friend in order to create a story. One more thing that I liked was that the manager never opposed their relationship. She was supporting them actually. Nice to see that because in other dramas the manager would be against it. I like that the drama focuses more on the characters, finding time for their relationship to work, their career and finding out who they are.
The only thing I learned from watching this drama is to buy Rio. Every 10min they show Rio. They just have to add unwanted scenes and lines that involve Rio. Story is meh. No originality or creativity. No chemistry between the couples. I had drag myself to finish this show. I cannot help but think if they filmed this drama in a month. I swear the female lead wears the same outfit over and over again. I feel like she only had 10outfits for the whole drama.
This drama had really potential in the beginning. Story was good but slow. I mean who wants to see a character walk for more than a minute? Its like they are trying to add more screen time without anything really happening. Thats when forward 10sec comes in handy(thanks viki). Then the last 10-15 episodes was just a drag and did not make sense anymore. Showing same scenes like Chenlin hugging the dragon etc. Luzaoyao claims to have regained her power back but she seems like a weakling. Then everyone dies in the end. What was the point of killing south hill master? I dont even know how Qin Qianxian died. As far as I know nobody hit him. Then these other Immortan sect leaders start dying just by one push. Ok, thats a lot of power for being a sect leader. Would I recommend this drama? Probably not.

And I was disappointed that Du Lei still cheated/corrupt at his job towards the end. I mean come on, he was already changing and even helped Yuan Shuan solve the case about the dad's company/death. I thought there was a good bromance there between them. Du Lei even teases YS after the case in the bar. But then Du Lei became corrupt in the end? The writer obviously wanted to drag the story and by doing that they had to make him the bad guy again. Ok, just a little piss about that. Second female lead was a bit annoying for me. She always try to act cute and at the same time clingy. Always following Xiaochuan. This is just my opinion. So no haters here.

I don't think anyone has seen Mo Xuan's face cuz he always wears the mask or has thick white powder on his face. That was mentioned later on in drama. The fact that Wei wears the mask and carries it around him, they assumed he was Mo Xuan. Later on in drama, he would put on the mask whenever he meets someone who knows what he looks like
On episode 16 and I still dont see what the hype is about. I'm also getting tired of Fu yao being saved by the prince. Come on, she's supposed to be strong with that good martial arts technique. Is it going to get better....
On episode 3. i like it so far, very intriguing but Kang So Bong's character annoys me. It got even more worse that she started working for that evil guy.
i'm a big fan of meteor garden. I watched the korean, taiwanese, japanese and anime version so this one was a must for me to watch. It was ok in the beginning, but then episodes started dragging and I felt like there was no story anymore. they just want to make it long and the story is not serving its purpose anymore. ok, so this is my second time watching chinese historical drama. The first one was Ashes of Love. And I totally loved both dramas. I even rewatched them!! I started watching this drama because of the high rating plus my sister recommended this one. After watching first few episodes I didn't know what was so good about it. It was slow in the beginning, but it started picking up and getting more interesting. I also liked Dijun and Feng Jiu's story in the beginning, but it just got draggy when they were doing their mortal trial. Anyone recommends any good chinese historical drama? I'm totally into them now.
