I just thought I'd pop in and say everyone on this series is a ridiculous level of attractive.
How the hell am I suppose to root for or against anyone when they have the evil minions out here looking so fine, the evil racers out here looking so fine, the shady best friends out here looking so fine and the protagonists out here looking so fine?
At this point, it doesn't even matter who's on my screen. I'm winning.
Actually charlie is very much in love with babe. It was love at first sight for him. Charlie is actually on babe…
I'm interested in how the show is going to change those dynamics, because there's no way all of that will make it into the show. But if all that is the truth, than there's even less of a justification for the lack of chemistry.
so there is probably 4 couples in this serieguys which couple you are looking forward to1-Charlie/Babe2-Alan/Jeff3-Way/Pete4-Sonic/Dean…
I'm most interested in Way & Pete. The dynamic between Nut and Ping during Boys Journey was so adorable and I'm dying to see how that translates onscreen.
I see people complaining about the lack of chemistry between Babe and Charlie - or between Pavel and Pooh - but…
I would agree, except they are already showing signs that Babe is supposed to be developing romantic feelings for Charlie. Like the scene when he let him kiss him on the lips when he said before that this was off limits. Or the fact that he was so jealous over Charlie and Jeff talking. I feel like the show wants us to feel like they're starting to fall for each other- or at the very least that Babe is starting to fall for Charlie, but I'm just not seeing that chemistry yet. It's only episode two, things may develop as the story changes. But right now, it's just not there for me.
I just think back to that pilot trailer and think that there's an alternate reality of this show where the leads would've been Pavel and Nut. I find myself wondering if I would have enjoyed that coupling better. No offense to Pooh, I don't really think it's his fault but he's just not selling the character of Charlie for me. He can pull off the I'm so cute and innocent part, but the minute he has to be more intense, I just don't buy it. Pooh's young and I just think he doesn't have enough experience to pull off this role. I'm still into the show. Just not really feeling the main couple, sadly.
For me i hope that the other couples does not take up to much show space. Many shows where there are a main couple…
Boys' Journey was a variety series featuring the cast of Pit Babe prior to it airing, sort of as a get to know the cast sort of thing. It was on that show that the cast found out which parts they were going to play. After getting to know the whole cast through that series, I've become way too emotionally invested in this series. I may need psychological help, no lie.

I think with this show in particular the mistake I made is that I watched Boys' Journey first. That show made me way too attached to all twelve actors on this show. I guess I'm finding shifting from an ensemble variety show to the actual show which is mostly just about the main couple to be surprisingly jarring to me for some reason.

For me it depends on how it's written. A show like Between Us for example, I felt like the side couples were an unnecessary hindrance. But a show like Only Friends managed to balance 3 couples without anyone feeling like they were getting the short end of the stick. Same thing for KinnPorsche. I think if all of the couples are interwoven into the plot seamlessly, it won't feel like anyone is taking up unnecessary space.
I kind of wish this show was more of an ensemble. I like the whole cast, but right now I have the feeling that this is going to be one of those shows where the main couple take up most of the show space. I get it, and that's how the original is probably written. My fundamental problem with this is that I am invested in the show, and in the cast, but I am not really invested in the main couple as of right now. I hope the show manages to give everyone decent screen time.
This is my favorite BL at the moment. Maybe I'm a sucker for a good slow burn, but this one is hitting all the right beats for me. Love the two main leads, can't wait to see them in more.
Can Ohm and Fluke get one show with a normal premise? Why are they destined to star in every BL with a weird convoluted plot? The one thing this show has done was give me slightly more appreciation for Ohm (maybe because for once he was allowed to emote and have a personality) But I really just want to see these two in a normal, fun, god-forbid even light-hearted series. Just for a change of pace. Might be nice.
This show was interesting at first, I thought the reverse timelines was a cool idea, in theory. But this show is ultimately needlessly over convoluted. I find myself liking the side couple more because their story doesn't make my brain hurt. I'm going to stick it out in hopes that somehow they can tie all these disparate threads together. At least it's better than Oh! My Sunshine Night?

That is all,
Have a nice day.
