Three episodes in and still, I don't understand. I'm not quite sure I have the patience to muddle through this when there are other interesting dramas to watch. All I learned is that every single person in this has issues, especially the two leads. And the constant conflict makes me doubt if the two can pull off a convincing romance in just 15 episodes.
A Romcom? Really? Somehow, I'm not convinced. The character's background is the perfect recipe for a 20-30+ episode melodrama which I'm not looking for at the moment.
I can see why Mr.Arrogant (Kim Jaewon) picked this up though, Seo Jae hee is definitely a role that will suit him. It's unfortunate that he experienced a serious accident and was unable to continue.
Yoon shi yoon, despite being the replacement actor, certainly pulled off the arrogant swagger well enough. But I watched this just after finishing Flower Boy Next Door, so the contrast between the dark Seo Jae hee and childish Enrique Geum is jarring.
All in all it just ended up confusing me to the point of frustration so I'll put this on hold for now.

From Blazar to Arc and now the latest Omega, I feel like they're really upping their quality while making sure to establish individuality. Director Takasue and the production crew did a fantastic job for this premiere episode. Loving the Sherlock and Watson dynamic for lack of better term that Kosei and Omega has right off the bat. The Preview Special and carefully selected works for the Broadcast Support Stream makes sense now. Can't believe they ended it with a moving title card. What a way to make a first impression!

Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGoFive Episode 1

There's something reassuring about how earnest this brand of Sentai Siblings are, like hell yeah we're here to do our job and rescue people. Their shitstain father is another matter entirely. Imagine having to use new equipment on the spot with no training, can't blame Helicopter Green Sibling for being pissed at their pops. In contrast to their bullheaded professional mien at their dayjobs, being newbies at the Sentai nonsense is a matter of course.

Is the Dark Zone some kind of weird allegory/metaphor behind American Rationale about the nuclear bomb dropping or just the moral apathy about warcrimes? The cautionary tale of the Barefoot Gen manga is athe forefront of my mind whenever preventable atrocities happen.

It's another friendship centric episode featuring the rookies. Kanata is still affected by the Professor's betrayal, stewing with guilt and frustration. Ryumon tried to keep him out of the field mission since he's currently a liability as he is but got overruled since they're understaffed.Ichika plays mediator while Hanejiro gets to be the hero of the hour. Thankfully, his friends' reassurance was enough to get Kanata out of his funk.

I love how a character defining moment from Ryumon ties in to an incident from ten years ago (Trigger Era). He gets to finally repay a debt.

I really love how Kanata rejected that self sacrificialmartyr stance his seniors enthused to him, resolving to fight to survive alongside his friends."Mister!" "Stupid kid."Especially love the dynamic (heh) between Decker and Kanata despite only knowing each other for like a hot minute. Kanata's growth was really rewarding. I'm impressed on how they build up the debut of his unique form. It's great.Decker couldn't resist teasing his young Ancestor by revealing they're related. Best episode.

I love the visual cues and different fighting style that cement Future Decker as a completely different Ultra host. He utilized the cards differently, making full use of the Mons Dimension and switching seamlessly from Multi to Strong to Miracle then back again at the drop of a hat.

The sheer stupified brilliance of Decker realizing he's still eye level with humans is hilarious. Then the subsequent game of charades. Decker is trying his best.

Marlulu says the truest things about the GUTS Select Rookies. But I love how a mishap unites my favorite dumb trio to get things done. It's their charm.

"Even if it wasn't me, someone else would eventually reach an answer in the future. I'm sure of it " Not only does it explore the age old debate about man vs monster, it also serves for some fantastically blood thumping Decker fight with a bonus assist from Hanejiro saving Kanata in the nick of time. Gosh, I love it when GUTS Select get to team up with Decker. The image of Vice Captain Kaizaki and her former mentor standing on the palms of their respective Champions was so good. It invoked Digimon like visuals to me.Might be my favorite episode so far, focusing on their ever dependable Vice Captain Kaizaki.

Aww Trigger and his Ladylove! The way Kanata and Yuna saved Camearra was such an astounding feat of miracle borne from their desire to help Kengo. Brought a smile on my face when Trigger held Camearra, it felt so intimate and tender to me.Love how this closes Kengo's story and that by giving the sword to Kanata, officially appoints Decker as the Protector of Earth and his successor.

Ryumon busting out questions that got Kanata and Kengo scrambling to make an excuse. My kids are embarrassing.

Dan please. Your human facade is cracking. Brainwashed Professor using the leverage afforded by his position to accuse Dan by framing him. First one to incite the team against Dan.

Seven. Seven. Seven. The theme song being a chant of his name is so hypnotic. There's just something about filming miniatures and the shooting techniques to pull it off that's fascinating. Probably spent more time just staring at the jets and fidget spinner UFO than Seven's debut.
