A masterpiece.

Honestly, I think the other reviews are unfair. 8.5 stars or less doesn't make justice to how good and amazing this k drama is. YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT. It's just perfect; there's not a single mistake that I can talk about this drama. And the ending is just amazing and made me cry. Learn to do endings with Way Back Love, writers of Reply 1988.
In summary: it's just amazing. Watch it.

Everything is perfect... Until the end

If you like a kdrama with a good ending, Reply 1988 is DEFINITELY not what you are looking for. The ending, where Taek, by far the worst character on the tv show -- spoiled, quiet in the worst sense possible and boring -- dates and marries the main character instead of Jung Hwan, one of the best characters of the drama. The drama, btw, not only does that, but gets extremely boring after the time skip at episode 17, more or less. It was a masterpiece until the end, one of the top 3 of all time alongside with Lost and Game of Thrones. Just don't watch it. Don't lose your time.

I'm disappointed

Boyfriend on Demand sounded like a fun idea at first, but honestly the show is kinda disappointing. The whole “boyfriend on demand” concept could have been funny or interesting, but the drama barely does anything with it. A lot of scenes just drag and feel like filler.

One of the biggest problems is Jisoo’s acting. She’s obviously super popular as an idol and "singer", but here the acting feels really stiff. In a lot of scenes it kinda looks like she’s just reading the script instead of actually reacting to what’s happening. Her facial expressions barely change, even in moments that are supposed to be emotional.

Because of that, the dramatic scenes just don’t work. Something serious happens and you’re supposed to feel something, but it just falls flat. It honestly feels like she got the role more because she’s famous than because she really fit the character.

The chemistry between the characters is also pretty weak. And for a romance drama that’s a big problem. The conversations feel kinda awkward and the romance isn’t convincing at all. Instead of getting invested in the relationship, it just feels like the actors are going through the motions.

The pacing doesn’t help either. Some episodes feel really slow and there are scenes that go on way longer than they should. Sometimes it feels like the story barely moves.

So yeah, in the end Boyfriend on Demand is just a pretty forgettable drama. The idea had potential, but the weak acting (especially from Jisoo), boring writing, and lack of chemistry between the characters make it hard to care. It’s the kind of show you start because you’re curious, and then halfway through you’re like “eh… do I even want to keep watching this?”.

A good k drama

This is a good is a mystery tv show , so it's a pretty slow one. I recommend it. The storyline and ESPECIALLY the photography is just beautiful. Wow. Acting isn't bad either; both MCs actors are really good.
If you like a slow burn romance and mystery and that's for you. If you don't, then don't bother watching it. You won't like!
The ending is amazing, don't bother the ppl saying it's bad and confusing. It's pretty good.

Lazy and dull

This k drama clearly wants to be some sort of breaking point on social issues in sk, using some type of unfunny comedy to do it. But it doesn't work. The story isn't good, characters are annoying and the cases are so weak and bad that it's hard to not sleep while watching.
Of course, I have personal opinions on the point of the show and the content of it itself, but I'm pretty sure you can do a show about social issues and still be good and not lazy and bad like this one.
I remember watching a British tv show called Unforgetten -- that was heavily political and pretty focused on social issues -- and even I, that usually don't like these types of shows, liked it and watched all seasons. Why? Cause it was good and entertaining. That's not the case of Pro Bono, which it's just dull and, well, lazy.

A surprising start

At the start of the episode, i thought the k drama would be *pretty* bad and i was starting to think what i was doing with my life. But, at the middle, more or less, of the first episode, things got better and it got better till the end. Yes, this is a good start. Of course, this k drama isn't a masterpiece AT ALL, but it's a light-watch. If you like these types of k dramas, then i recommend it (so far, will be updating when the next episodes air!).

A solid start!

A new and exciting k-drama, Undercover High School has a great potential of being on the top k-dramas of this year. The plot is PRETTY good and the acting isn't bad, either. If you are looking for a purely romantic comedy, this isn't it. This is a mainly action/mystery drama mixed, of course, with romance and comedy.
So far, pretty good. Waiting for the next two episodes!
