There is no petty oh this side won or that side lost. Isn't it all about revelation of the truth? The "good guys" are doing their best with that and that's the whole point of the drama. Give them time to unfold the events.
Given the history that Jae Yi and her father had with Judge Cha, I would be surprised if her father believed her easily or at all. It's very understandable given that they had a trusted relationship for 18 years come on.
