A really nice dating show

I am a buff of these dating shows (I watched a lot of them and my only regret is that Koreans have only Single's Inferno one, while Japanese have a lot of them.

The setting is stunning, as everything takes place in the spring in Nice (Mediterranean Coast of France). The participants are very nice, sweet and sincere, and you don't feel for one second that something is staged (I hope it really isn't). The music is great, the food looks very yummy, the idea of letting them communicate only in the good old way (by handwritten messages) stimulated their creativity and the need to be direct and sincere, and in general I laughed and cried together with them. I strongly recommend the show!

A great k-drama

A very emotional, touching drama about the endless, lifelong love of two people. I cannot add anything else, it would seem anachronic and dusty. Everything, starting with actors' play, screenplay and directing is flawless, in my humble opinion. However, I am not sure I'll be able to watch it again.

One of the best romances ever

Oh my! Everyone knows Song Hye-Kyo. The beautiful, charismatic, elegant Song Hye-Kyo. The one who everyone loved to death in Full House where she is funny, funny, funny! Oh well, guys, Song Hye-Kyo is eclipsed by the hypnotizing Park Bo-Gum. If you didn't enjoy watching him in some other dramas/movies, here you will love him to bones! This is a very loaded drama; full of unspoken feelings and regrets. I watched it 3 times and each time I enjoy it as first time. This is like a first cup of champagne drank as a teenager. Loved it!

A piece of jewelry rom-com. If you like Korean rom-coms, you'll love this!

I started without too many expectations. Of course, the lead female is sweet and really beautiful, but there was no chemistry with my style. Slowly I got into the atmosphere, but what really motivated me is the genuinity of the characters. They behave as they should behave. I didn't expect that In-na will be like her the entire series, but she is!! There are no shenanigans, no Deus Ex Machina scenes, she, who looks like a pretty minimum intelligence failed actress, will not solve the mystery of the universe or whatever, but she is sweet, candid, feelings smart (this is s one of the most important of the ten types of intelligence), and very very consistent. The same for the lead actor. The ending is also very pleasant, straightforward and consistent. Oh well, k-dramas (comedies) must have clowns, that, of course, are present here as well, however Yoo In-na and Lee Dong-wook offered me a great time. I strongly recommend it!! If you loved it, please try True to Love, which is also a piece of jewelry.

Why would this period piece be inferior to any other?

I have watched a lot of Korean period pieces. First, any comparison with the masterpiece movie from 2001 with Jun Ji-Hyun is a nonsense. These are completely different everything: theme, idea, period, genre. The cast is very lovely, the subject is nice, the acting is good, so all in all this is a very enjoyable series. Yes, it's nothing new, but except for satellites falling from the sky with green goblins during Joseon era, I am not sure something really new can be added to the hundreds of period pieces created. Do you want a lovely period comedy/drama? Of well, this is a very fair one.

A funny comedy, but not only

First, everything looks like it takes place really in outer space, starting with mice movements and ending with the actors' ones. Second, it's very funny: I laughed a lot! The entire family barely waits to Sunday afternoon, when we can watch two episodes in a row. Third, both Gong Hyo-jin and Lee Min-ho have strong personalities on screen in general, and here there is no exception. During the last episodes, despite being interested in science and reading a lot about life outside Earth, I couldn't imagine a few weeks without gravitation can be so physically damaging, so this is also an eye opener.

It may not appeal to everyone, especially if you expected a drama instead of a comedy, but if you give it a chance, you may not be disappointed. I really love it!

One of the best series on Netflix, but not a typical k-drama

I want to be very clear: this is a superb series for whomever is looking for a westerner, social + romantic, full of very very interesting ideas type one. However, the problem is that k-drama watchers are mostly the ones watching it, so the rating is low because of this: they expect a nice bubbly story, with all kind of hidden relations that are going to be revealed in the end, full of romantic, unexpected turns, so of course, for them this is going to be boring. Again, the series is superb, depicting perfectly the social segregation, power abuse, difficult to reach relations, but the final idea that a relation should be stopped after an amazing climax has been reached is stunning (and it's so very difficult to stop...) despite there are counterexamples when two people live happily ever after (yes, you can count them on the fingers of a single hand, but... there are!!). An excellent director, who used picturesque effects to show a large variety of feelings on the screen. It's absolutely everything else but boring!

Long time ago, when I was a teenager, I was discussing a lot with my best friend about a climax in love and the meaning of marriage after that. The truth is that a relationship can go only down from reaching a top. Everyone knows that all marriages have problems, misunderstandings, etc. Why continue something that was extraordinary, just to drag it to trivial? My ideas changed while aging, but the questions are still there. I guess this is the only show which bluntly treats the same problem in the same way. That's why I loved it. Of course, I am subjective, but this show impressed me a lot.

A Wonderful Drama

Nobody really needs this review. There are 148 already, which probably tried plenty of angles. However, I will add this, because it's incredibly personal. I am a buff of k-dramas, but I owe my dedication to them to 2 k-dramas (I watched some until then, especially action ones, like IRIS, The K2, Signal and I liked them, but nothing more), in chronological order of viewing: 25 21 and Fated to Love You. The scene from hospital in episode 12, when she cries, is, without any shadow of doubt, Oscar worthy. I couldn't believe my eyes, while crying, obviously. The second time I watched it (oh well, there were about 10 more...), I just watched Na-Ra's face all the time. I was curious, because frequently, when actors/actresses are not in the prime plane, they tend to be a bit careless. Each and every gesture and reaction of Na-Ra were perfect. Why not at least a Baek Sang nomination? Oh well... I was pissed off, and I am pissed off about it. Try to get over Jang Hyuk's hyena laugh, which steps on everyone's nerves, and watch it. For Jang Na-Ra, who is stunning!! One million claps for her play!

A very sweet and sincere k-drama

I don't really give bad ratings or write bad reviews for k-dramas, because maybe I didn't get right what the idea was, or the metaphors used, or... whatever. I don't want to negatively inspire other people to avoid watching it, because maybe it's exactly their genre and style. I have seen on some discussion sites plenty of completely, but completely contradictory opinions. I loved this series. And here is why:

1. Park So-Dam and the boys played really well (oh well, the truth is that I didn't watch too many dramas with mediocre acting, let aside bad one).
2. The story is really good and solid (by solid I mean consistent, with no unnecessary twists and nonsenses).
3. The main musical theme is really good and sticks with you (like the ones from One Spring Night or Encounter).
4. There are negative characters (obviously, it's a Cinderella theme), but except from the classic ones, the others are just mild).
5. Female lead's positivity despite the problems she faces is very inspiring.

Very artistic and genuine vision

I must confess that Kim Tae Ri is my preferred actress, since 25 21 was one of the two shows which made me fall for k-dramas forever! My rating is however objective. I loved the music (I really like Pansori now!), I loved the approach, and I become very appreciative to Korean traditional music and shows. Ra Mi Ran is astonishing, as usual, and the entire cast plays flawlessly. The story is really inspiring, so for me it's a perfect show!

A very genuine introspection into the life of a K-pop idol

This is an artistic series, not a crowd pleaser. The characters are very well defined, however, the most impressive part is the psychology of the K-pop idol. This is not a "famous girl and ordinary boy" story. The series tries to make everyone understand what the difficulties of being a k-pop (or k-drama actor/actress, whatsoever) star in plenty of cases really are. I loved the miniseries to bits. It fits perfectly to my idea of romanticism as well as the idea of realism. To be a star, in all languages and on all meridians doesn't mean necessarily happiness. It may; but it may not. I am from Canada, but I really appreciate k-dramas. However, watching the weddings of some k-stars (Jang Na-Ra, Kang So-Ra, for example) and the fact that the non-celebrity spouse's face is hidden, as well as the most of them cannot really have girlfriends/boyfriends while young and working in this business, made me think a lot about the traumatizing life of idols. The movie is nice, but also realistic, doesn't matter what the others say. Plenty of people will complain about the ending :)) There is no other real possible ending! I strongly recommend it! It's beautiful, romantic and realistic.
