tbh, i think the writers have truly set themselves up with pat and deans storyline, because how do you have only 8 episodes and have dean treat pat HORRIBLY for the majority of it?? you have a main couple storyline that is just quite cute and simple, with very few hurdles for them to jump through and then make pat, the loveable side character, be treated so badly and with so much disrespect that even the main characters are baffled by it. like no wonder a majority of watchers, including me, are hoping for pat to literally end up with ANYONE else who makes her happy atp...
for everyone who loved this show and the plot as much as i did, remember to check out âreverse with meâ when it airs, itâs written by the same author and follows wa and fourâs daughter!!
i loved this show, especially how it kept true to the book which itself was so good. i love how it wrapped up everything beautifully, although icl i wouldâve loved if the post-credit scene was just a lil snapshot of their future life featuring vivi instead, maybe attending her graduation or smth, although i do understand and honestly respect how they really tried to wrap up basically every loose string with that post credit scene. overall 10/10 and honestly just so underrated, both the actresses and the show itself
i loved this show and the casting and acting was beautiful but i hate how theyâve always got to get the permission of someone to be together, like why are you getting permission from the people who were praying on your downfall. book accurate wan wouldnât do this, bring back my misandrist lover girl lesbians đâ
whilst watching this you realise not one of them is at 'fault' for their breaking up and it's due to their differences, but i'm kinda worried that the show will just sort of 'shove' them together at the end because they both regret leaving each other and not because they've learnt from their past problems and grown as people. i don't want their growth to be chalked up merely to them just growing in age because i feel as though sometimes that doesn't work in these scenarios. perhaps i've missed something here but i hope i see more maturity and growth from them, not them running from their problems and confrontation.
i looked at the yt video of the episode again and it mentions they will start producing a second episode if the video reaches 5k likes, but itâs currently sitting at around 1.5k likes :(
i dislike how they dragged on the Mawin storyline to the bitter end, itâs as if he went out of his way to be angry when it was clear Kim didnât like him- the writers really said âthey need a manâs approval to be togetherâ cuz why did they only feel truly happy to move on together after HIS blessing. i think the thing that i found most frustrating out of all this was the utter waste of faymayâs chemistry, those girls- and the rest of the actors- truly deserved better writing.
oh i definitely donât think the series will have a sad ending (cuz the lesbians will go to war if not fs đŞđŞ) but yeah defo rushed and not as fluffy as the book. if u wanna read the book i think iâve seen some people post it on wattpad for free đŤĄđŤĄ
tbh the mother was still a pos in the book, but it didnât focus as much on wisanuâs storyline with the other guy as well as that whole engfah debacle, and from what i remember thereâs just a lot of plot that theyâve got to fit in the last episode if they try to stay somewhat true to it (e.g, theyâve got the whole italy trip which is honestly one of my fave parts). but yeah the show definitely wasted a lot of time on other (imo unnecessary storylines), when it couldâve fleshed out more important ones. sorry for the rambling omdsâźď¸ đ¤§đ¤§đ¤§
