do you know where i can watch s1 / s2 or is it subscription only?

Ooh, I started following P101 S2 because I found out Sanggyun and Taehyun & Sungwoon were going to be on it - guilty! hahaa (I also remember watching Daehwi and Guanlin like little brothers!).
Honestly, while TD put out a little bit more music than Hotshot, neither group really put out all that much, especially compared to groups that debuted around the same time like BTS & BtoB.
I blame their agencies but yknow~~ I was happy all 3 of them got to debut in a project group though (both W1 & JBJ), and at least Hotshot made a comeback with 'I hate you' in 2018 <3

I'm actually not super familiar with Big Bang and TVXQ; I know most of the members and their more popular songs, but I guess I never really got into them? I know they're part of the OGS though :))
But I've definitely listened to the other artists you listed; I haven't been a Kpop fan for all that long so I'm more familiar with the recently debuted / currently popular artists!

Scooby-Doo was everything haha -- my siblings and I binge-watched all the Scooby-Doo DVDs (tv and movies) we had multiple times! I actually still haven't watched a lot of the Disney live-remakes (only Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, and Maleficent I think) so I should really catch up haha~ hopefully Mulan and the To All the Boys sequel turns out ok :)

I do! Well I'm also into BtoB and the boys from Produce 101 S2, and a lot of other groups here and there -- but Topp Dogg and Hotshot were actually the first groups I got into (too bad they're really underrated and aren't exactly active anymore tho TT) Which groups got you into Kpop? Any faves?

Oh I've also been looking forward to seeing Scoob -- my childhood omg! As well as Mulan's live remake, A Quiet Place 2, Escape Room 2, the sequel to To All the Boys I've Loved Before (adapted from one of my favourite book series from my teen years!), among others~~ BTS' comeback is also on my radar, as well as iKON's, hopefully ><

Other than that, I'm hoping to get away on a short trip between semesters, but nothing's confirmed yet!

I'm honestly not much of a resolution person myself haha :') Although there are plenty of things I want (and should!) get done, I just never really go through with them. Maybe that should be my resolution - actually going through with the things I want to do lol

On another note, which BL movies / dramas (or just anything in general!) are you looking forward to for 2020? I'm particularly excited for 'A Tale of Thousand Stars' and the movie continuation of HIStory 2: Crossing the Line!

I think, overall, I did lean more towards fantasy / dystopian / romance, or something along those lines~ But yeah, if I ever need any anime / manga recs you're definitely my go-to person haha ;)

I actually used to be the biggest book nerd haha - I loved to read! I read almost anything so I was never really into one genre. I did read a couple mangas here and there. But around mid high school to now, I just never really picked up a book - it's sad lolol I wish I could enjoy reading the way I once did. I should really make time for it~
But what about you? I noticed you're into manga / anime?

Definitely. While it's always nice to see the uglier side of love shown in film (because, like you said, real life isn't perfect!), it's often done in a way that romanticizes or beautifies or justifies it. You're right -- in the future, I really hope to see relationships like that portrayed more mindfully. It sends the wrong message to so many people, and stuff like that needs to be seen as an issue :'(

Oh wow yeah I remember that! I didn't realize I was watching a murder plot lmaoo, it never really fit into the rest of the drama for me -- so random!
Of course, I get that not every relationship is going to be healthy, but does it have to be so outrageously extreme? Relationships can obviously get out of hand in real life too, but I doubt the ratio is like what we see in some of these dramas :/
But yeah, about rape and similar things, it's unbelievable how many dramas and movies can pass forceful / aggressive behaviour off as "love" even when it gets border-line abusive! It's crazy, there's just really no excuse for that.

Yes!! That's one of the main reasons I started the series as well -- also after seeing New in Sotus and TayNew flooding my youtube feed lmaooo

I just started Kiss Me Again and even though I like Pete and Kao's story so far, it's so hard to watch some of the other [straight] couples (especially one of the girls who is super invasive in trying to find out about this guy's sexuality, and another guy who keeps on physically forcing himself onto another girl who obviously isn't into it) that I'm wondering if I should just find a Pete/Kao cut of the series lolol what to do~~

I can watch and re-watch good series / movies over and over but if I never really got into a drama, it's SO hard to bring myself to finish it. But the other thing is -- I'm someone who doesn't like starting a series and not finishing it, so I have a lot of dramas just sitting there waiting for me to pick up again lolol

honestly it's so funny how sometimes i can't commit to a short series that i'm only half-interested in, but once i really get into a drama i can watch the whole series and still would watch more if they made a sequel or something!

hmm I think that may be another reason I've been putting them aside for a while - some of them are sooo long (20+ episodes) and maybe I'm just too lazy to commit haha! But yes, Goblin is one I've been wanting to start for forever, just not sure where to find it!

But I totally get what you mean - the sadder stories are usually the ones that go into so much more depth and are closer to real-life, and that's why I think I appreciate them so much more. It's nice to imagine living in the perfect k-drama world but it just isn't reality, at least for me anyway ><

I think that has also affected what I choose to watch - I haven't been as into k-dramas lately, especially ever since I started getting into BL. Even though I know BL dramas are far from reality, I feel like they (for the most part) are dealing with a lot more real-world issues than your average romantic k-drama. (side note: but if you have any k-dramas you recommend, I'd love to know since I'm trying to get back into them!)

i get what you mean -- the more good things i hear, the more scared i am to start in case it doesn't turn out as good as i've heard!
(honestly, i LIVE for the sad heartbreaking dramas haha, but every now and then i like the light and fluffy ones~~)

yeah, my expectations were also pretty up there because of all the things I've seen on youtube, but theory of love is reeeally cute and I'm glad I started it hahaa
there's a lot of cliches (but sort of fittingly since the main characters are film majors) but ngl sometimes I'm a sucker for that shit :P
