I've only watched Doom at your Service and Mysterious Love in the mix, and I dropped them both at episode 3 and 6. I wholeheartedly agree with your take on popular dramas these days and I think it's because I've been going through a kdrama slump for the past 5 years. I guess that slump still stands because I've struggled to finish almost anything I've started. I guess as I got older, I started to realise all the BS that happens in kdramas, or just asian dramas in general. But anyways, I'm glad I've met someone that's ready to call out the silly writing or horrible plot line in drama land too!
A really thorough post!!! I totally agree with all your cons and that's probably why I strayed away from watching lakorns as I got older. I used to watch lakorns as a kid with my mum and when I got older I started realising how ridiculous and terrible the story lines got. Another thing I wanna add to your cons is the unnecessary (personal opinion) trope of the lead getting kidnapped by the bad dude - cause every goddamn lakorn gotta pull this move. But anyways, super enjoyable read cause I also enjoyed MHIL as well!!
Hello alll, I'm subbing this on Ch3's youtube (slowly cause I still have assignments to finish) through community translation. I need community approval for everyone else to watch subs, though have only done this for ep.3 cause that's the only episode that Ch3 has allowed community translation (so far i've only finished part 1 and 9). Hopefully ch3 doesn't remove it and continues to give access for translations :)
The only thing i get annoyed at is when LMH goes anymore and there's always girls raving about how good looking he is. Yes we get, he is very good looking, but I think it's overdone....hopefully this doesn't continue for the remainder of the drama
