I agree with every points you mentioned. I started the drama thinking it will be only 10 episodes so even if it…
Exactly! 10 episodes would have been enough if they had paced the show better instead of wasting time with the Chertchai guy. Useless!

ngl i agree with your rant as well. even tho ovbi i been watching lankorns. i mean the chemistry yes it’s good…
Yes!! They are so dumb and slowwww. Too slow for me, I'll just watch the 4th part of the last episode, really!

LOL happy to help! Next time, just write whatever comes to your mind, even if it's not perfect. Rants are great, you feel a bit relieved afterwards hahaha.
On Nabi, My Stepdarling Mar 30, 2021
This drama has lost me. Oh I will pop back up to watch the final episode and get some resolution on the evil woman. But as of now, I'm ready to give my review of the show.

First off, I'll say: I do not recommend this show to anyone. Out of the 10 and half episodes I watched, there were 3 good ones and then it started going worse and worse. The strong point of the drama was definitely chemistry, but as episodes went on, we saw less and less of the leads together. And when they'd be together, it would always be confrontational. It gets tiring. The nemesis is also interesting but she got cartoonish after a certain point.
Then you have the setting. Nabi is the manager in a hostess bar. I was very interested in the beginning of seeing that universe because it's new to me. But nope, the writers decided we didn't need any of that and we don't see much about the bar, except when somebody gets assaulted in it (in a high end, luxury bar, yes) which is pretty much every other episode, if you don't count the ML mauling the FL.
Which takes me to the weakest point of the show: the writing. I intend to find out who wrote this script and then avoid anything they do next. It's not so bad, it's boring and a bit stupid. You have unnecessary characters (the girl at the bar who hates Nabi for NO reason), weird storylines (the Chertchai guy, what a waste of time), stupid decisions (the girl is missing and you find her phone at someone's place, you call the police for heaven's sake). This is lazy writing 101 that heavily relies on actors pretty faces. Unfortunately even the best actors can't do magic. All the older actors in the movie are pretty great but they even look ridiculous in this. And the younger actors, well they do what they can but it's hard when your character is written as stupid.

Anyways, this was my rant. I might add something when/if I find it in me to watch the final episode. But I don't think there will be anything more to say except: what a waste of my time!

Same things are repeated over the episodes. After 11 episodes characters are still misdirected. All of them in…
I completely agree with you. This ML is so insipid. At first I thought he was pretty hot with his open shirts and always sulking. But after a while it just got boring and one dimensional. His sidekick/friend/employee is actually much more interesting in contrast. He always says witty and SMART things, like when he was insistent that Kawin is a stalker in ep11. Kawin just seems dull.

And then there are the Historical families like the one in “Battle of Changsha”
True! But don't forget that Battle of Changsha is chinese :D
On Before We Get Married Mar 26, 2021
I was wary of watching this show because of the marketing around it (the trailer mainly). I was expecting a show about cheating. In fact there's not really any cheating in this drama, it's really more about timing in relationships.
This show then is about three sets of people (if I count Han Ke Fei) who all have bad timing in love, how are they going to deal with it.
I heard someone say that to him, timing is more important than feelings, and he wouldn't get with somebody he likes if the timing is not right. That's a very strong resolution and one of the leads seem to share it.
The other theme of the drama is about cutting losses. I don't think it's for nothing that the ML is an investment banker. There's this principle/rule in economics about sunk cost: whatever you have invested and lost in the past is irrelevant to the decision to pursue or not the business venture. In other words, just because you've wasted so much ressources in a product doesn't factor into the decision of whether or not continue on with it. What's important are the future prospects.
Relationships are also an investment. Whether you've spent 3 years or 10 with somebody is not really important, the important thing is whether or not you will be happy with them in the following 3 or 10 years.
The ending is a bit deja vu, so consider youself warned. What I liked about the show is the journey of the characters. Also, I think this show perfectly deserves the general rating it got (8 today), but I'm particularly fond of the ML's acting so I added half a point.
On You Are My Sisters Mar 25, 2021
I'll advise that you don't start this drama because you want to watch a romantic story. Yes there is romance in the drama, but it's almost an afterthought. The story is really about family bonds and these three sisters growing up and facing challenges. While growing they encounter friendships and also loveships. But most importantly they deal with their sisterhood.
I'm emphasizing like this because I started this thinking I was getting into a romance and I was a bit surprised by the direction it took instead. I would have enjoyed it way more if I had known what I was getting into.

Who is a drag queen though? I'd think that anybody is a drag queen once they wear the attire. Or maybe I don't…
Yes I get it. I get what you mean, though I think this show could actually surprise you. I see room for a lot of character development. From the blurb, the main guy is a cop, so I expect him to be all macho like. Maybe having to live as a drag will end up converting him (to drag lifestyle, not sexual orientation). I don't know but since it's GMM, I'll keep an open mind.

I just wanted to do a little write up about Khun Wave, playing Prapas. What a great actor, playing a great character!

At first I was just thinking about how lucky this actor is to get to play this type of character when he's not the usual "type" who will play the badass sidekick. Seriously, Prapas is not even a sidekick. He doesn't help the superhero, he IS the superhero. I was so amazed when he went back from hiding and Tee teared up because Uncle Prapas was back to fight for him!... I like that it wasn't even a bromance between these two, there was no explanation given to his loyalty, like a superpower, he was born to protect the orphan, i.e Tee.
Then I realized that... Wait a minute, Wave the actor is half the size of Mik. And yet, it doesn't even feel weird to see Prapas get in front of Tee to protect him. Yeah, this guy is a great actor. In my opinion he deserves to be the sixth billed actor/character in place of Nune who's really useless as a character anyway but I guess he's not pretty enough haha.

Anyway, I'll end my tribute to the great Wave by wishing him many great roles like this.

Please nobody beat me, but I did'nt like the actress in Kill It or The Good Wife. I'm wary of her facing a such a good actor as Lee Min Ki. I'll check it out for his sake, but I'm keeping expectations very low.

Yup i agree. I was looking forward to some romance between the leads and got a long boring flashback
Yes, the chemistry is what holds the drama together for me, but unfortunately we didn't get much of it this time. LOL the male lead is so stupid hahaha!!
