This season is doing a great job of answering a lot of questions with each episodes being relevant. The main problem between CPP and emperor, why Fan Xian's mother was killed are being answered in a subtle way. Each path the story took was pointing towards equality and governance. Fan Xian being from a modern society couldn't swallow that common people's life doesn't matter in this era while royal and officials have different rules. The King makes decision for everyone as he has a god complex and Fan Xian now truly starting to revolt against the system. CPP knows every actions of emperor apart from the great mystery. CPP shared similar views with Fan Xian's mother, now wants to continue her legacy with her son.

It was like a chess game. The King was kept out of danger as he was the most important piece. At first they used knight and then others were used. The importance of Xu Feng Nian is that if he dies,its all over. He is the most important piece. If Zhao Kai is exposed and got killed then the other Fuijian Armour guys get wasted away. The play was to keep all the other characters around Xu Feng Nian away from him to be exposed and then to be taken out by miss of beef shop. That was the idea of lord of Jing'an.
Xu Feng Nian just stood there is the biggest letdown in this drama! The guy who just started martial arts 5 episodes back just stood there against veterans who came to kill him. He only know 2 moves by far but he had to go and kill them to be the hero! The trained assassins and girls should stand still and cheer for him rather than going to fight for him (like other wuxia drama and cliche is good). Though he was the least skilled among them and almost got killed at the end of the episode...he should have just went for it at the start itself. Drama should have been scrapped at the 21st episode.

I don't think the drama became worse due to its plot but its time limit. If the romance was avoided in this drama, the writer had enough time to elaborate the time jumps and effects. The 16 episodes was less for a complex plot and then made so many product placements inside it. The Director was an amateur who didn't handled placements. The female lead arc was a waste as that if she wasn't there,nothing would have changed. They should have gone for a 24 episode drama with more screen space for villain and other characters. People need time to grasp the story.
Goblin was far more boring, so yes. And she improved maintime. ^^
Goblin was every way better than this drama, it made me watch korean dramas! Only fact is that this drama tried itself to be another goblin but failed miserably!
It's funny how LMH fans come up with time travel theories even Einstein haven't thought of just to make this drama more sensible. At the end of the day, everyone prays just to let this get better but also knows that ship has sailed weeks ago. Give it a rest! Better luck for next drama!
