SML was not much annoying, and yes it has a love triangle but it was fun to watch the jealousy of ShenDu. The love triangle plot didn’t dragged on much. Yes it’s a happy ending.

I guess she died but her primordial spirit got reborn into the mortal world I think so. But can't say much right now lets see how it goes.

I finished watching this show yesterday and here are my opinions:
I didn't like the FL she was always damsel in distress like Shen Du always save her. I know she is clever and smart but still she was not much of my liking. My opinion though don't come at me😬.
I liked Shen Du character he is not a grey character but still his character development was great. I really liked him.
Story line was good but kinda predictable may be side effect of watching too many c-dramas ig😭😂.
Well I love strong, ruthless oriented ML dramas but this wasn't up to my expectations may be I had high expectations that's why. So overall 6.5/10 for me.

Well that's totally your opinion and I don't blame you for that but FL was forgiving because she kinda had the burden of what her family did in the past. So she was compromising. As you said she put her people first, she was honest from the very first day and ML liked that about her. The only mistake she did was to hide that tunnel from him. ML was cold and ruthless so she did everything in her power to make him feel for her and in the process she fell for him too.

Just finished this drama and don't even get me started😭. The best best literally the best😭🤌🏻. I love how they supported each other from start till the end. After any misunderstanding even it's minor they get back like nothing happened. I mean they always trust each other. Their chemistry was on top😭. We got fooled by LY when he said there will be no kissing scenes and there you are LY the mukbanger 😭🔥💋. Those kisses between them were literally so good I can't describe in words.
QiaoMan character was the best. I read a comment somewhere saying QiaoMan as an enemy would be dangerous for WeiShao and I couldn't agree more I mean look at my girl she is smart, cunning😭💀. But fr I would have loved to see them fighting💀.
LiuYuning slayed his character as WeiShao. He was not a true grey character but he did a fantastic job.
I am seeing some people complaining about not showing political plot much but there are much more dramas with a plot around politics and I personally like romance more so it's a 10/10 drama for me.
The romance, comedy and action everything was 10/10 for me. I literally enjoyed every second of it.

Ling Buyi character is truly the Grey character. He stayed ruthless and committed to his revenge till the end which I loved the most. He literally fell in love with ShaoShang when he didn't even saw her😂 I mean bro fell in love with her hand😭. The admiration for her always showed in his eyes and that made me a fan of Leo. His acting skills are top notch fr. I watched him in the Amidst a Snowstorm of Love and mind-blowing.
Cheng ShaoShang character development was truly great. From a cheerful and careless girl to a matured is great. A big fan of ZhaoLusi🫶🏻😩. I mean she was only 15 years old at that time but still she was cunning and smart.
My favourite character was the Emperor Consort. I believe ShaoShang would become like her as she will age🫣.
I've watched many dramas and the only healthy emperor we have got 😂. When I first watched the drama I was literally like finally the emperor is not foolish and not on the death bed like others😭.
I didn't like the Nianao mother at all. I mean all she needed to do was to give some warmth and love to her daughter but she was always praising her cousin and treating her differently from her actually made me mad. As someone who kind of faced the same issue in life in a brown Asian family I can relate with her most of the time. The love and warmth she was asking from her mother but she got it from the Empress.
I love this drama truly, I agree the ending was bit rushed but still it is the best c-drama for me out there I can rewatch it and I won't get tired of it ever. 100/10 fr🤌🏻.
P.S. I rewatched it again after The Prisoner of Beauty😭. It kinda reminded of LLTG🥹.

Well I think there is going to be sad ending I just feel that Kangchul will sacrifice his glowing pearl to kill 8ft spirit. I hope that's not the case and the vision Yeori saw in the beginning of episodes with a kid is truly the happy ending.

There are more of them but these are the ones I can think of rn.

I watched this drama only for Lusi and Yun Rui. I loved Lusi more like Feng Yin, her character growth was impressive. But for the ML, I am sorry but I didn’t liked him at all. I am talking about the character not the actor don’t come at me😬. I mean bro you are the GOD why are you always losing in fights. I know he sacrificed his energy and all but still I don’t understand why the writer showed him weak. Villains are always one step ahead like bro can’t even win against a mediocre devil😭 unless he sacrifices his own life🤐.
