Title Abyss
I'm having a hard time getting into this drama.. 1. because they keep depicting Go Se Yeon as an ugly person and it's annoying as hell 2. although Park Bo Young is an expert in having a good romantic chemistry with the male lead, this time it just doesn't work.. they act like good friends / siblings and I don't see any chemistry which is kinda disturbing when you know the drama is a supposed to be a romcom.
And seriously, they should stop shoving down our throat the fact Park Bo Young is supposed to be "average / not pretty". What a joke.

I too had my share of binge watching and am totally swooning with their chemistry. I think this cheesy drama is…
yes, I believe so too. Although Park Seojoon and Park Minyoung are two talented actors, I guess together they didn't hit it off on screen as well as I expected. Park Minyoung and Kim Jaewook on the other hand, that's another story!

I was kind of reluctant to watch it at first, I'm no fan of idols acting usually, but the two leads are doing a great job at being natural and sincere! If the same reason keeps you at bay from the drama, give it a try, you won't be disappointed!
On Her Private Life Apr 28, 2019
The leads' chemistry on screen hits the roof honestly! I started the first episode thinking I'd drop it quickly, since romcoms don't suit my tastes, but the characters made me stay and I binge-watched the 6 first episodes! Definitely worth watching
On Romance Is a Bonus Book Feb 10, 2019
tbh the two leads are just very cute but I don't see any chemistry yet. Let's hope they develop it a bit more, right now all I'm seeing is an adorable friendship.. that i can't imagine yet turning into a love relationship.

you know what's the worst feeling? when you like a drama well enough, you're excited to watch the last episode but it ends and you just stare at the screen, thinking "what the freaking hell?"

I mean this is not an "open ending" this is an abyssal ending. Truly disappointed.

I'm having conflicted feelings about this drama : it is very cliché in some ways (love triangle, school issues etc.) and I think I got my hopes up when it started which is why I'm kind of disappointed right now.
I've seen better acting from Yoo Seung Ho to be honest (I started watching it because I usually enjoy his acting), and the plot isn't going to be highly entertaining if it keeps revolving around the love triangle, school's discriminating system (well you're going to say of course it will, that's what the drama is about, but sadly the writers chose safety over freshness in the way they deal with the subject)
I guess it's your typical high school drama (with the novelty of a 27 yo HS student) trying to raise red flags about the asian education system. Nothing new here.
Of course you've got your typical love triangle, and although it could've been approached in an interesting manner, the writers dived into the black hole that is your boring "second male lead is jealous of male lead, wants to get the girl because he wants to get the attention male lead attracts."

I guess if you're looking for a bit of uniqueness in this industry of mostly all-alike dramas this one isn't what you're looking for. If you're looking for good acting, sadly flee this drama.

(I know it may sound harsh, but that's just my own opinion and you're absolutely free to disagree since everyone has their own tastes!)

honestly i wish the writers would take the time to explain why soo ah acts this way, to show her background: i think the character needs more attention instead of just labelling her the 'bad bitch'. Everyone has their own struggles and even though they're not the same as mi rae's, soo ah has her own that are just as important to address...

I'm kind of bothered by the male lead. The character is way too bland. I'm not sure this role suits Cha Eunwoo at all : he can't bring life to the character and he lacks the skills to bring subtle yet obvious emotions. I'm not saying he's no good but perhaps not experienced enough...

Actually it's more like 20 episodes because an episode is condensed (feels like 2 episodes but is actually 4 a…
I am quite aware of how that works, thank you very much. My point is, for a slice of life, I believe the usual 32 episode length is enough.

Although the chemistry between the two main leads doesn't hit the roof, they're still incredibly cute together and I'm looking forward to seeing them mend each other's lives.
I'm a bit afraid the plot won't entertain me all through 40 episodes though... I don't believe this kind of drama should have over 32 episodes tbh.

honestly I usually love yoon si yoon's acting and reading the feedbacks for this drama makes me wonder if I should watch it or not... am I going to be disappointed in him and his acting?

I was afraid I'd hate it. Would hate the way the drama deals with the whole beauty-is-all-that-matters stuff but…
why in ten hells would you copy paste my previous comment?

I was afraid I'd hate it. Would hate the way the drama deals with the whole beauty-is-all-that-matters stuff but honestly I don't feel uncomfortable nor annoyed and I think it's just because of how the writers decided not to show the mc's younger face (as in, we won't let you see a face that should be considered as "ugly" - you won't be able to compare yourself to that face). I also love the fact the mc is not someone who's completely confident after changing their face; once you've been treated badly because of your flaws, you just don't gain confidence overnight, and the drama shows it pretty well. Also, if the last resort has to be plastic surgery then so be it. I know a lot of people think it's easy to gain confidence, to start loving yourself no matter if you're ugly or pretty: well it's not. Sometimes people hate their face and body so much it makes them sick (as in real sick. anxiety, nausea, depression, only to give you a few) - and plastic surgery can help them feel better, move on and finally give them a shot at trying to chase after happiness.
I was afraid this drama would trigger old dark feelings but it doesn't and i'm so happy because i truly care for the female mc and just wish for her to be happy and confident and to be able to find out who's toxic and who's not and i'm willing to walk that road with her through these few episodes!

Title Are You Human? Spoiler
the more this drama goes on the more i can't see what kind of ending they'll come up with. It does seem like they won't be able to let namsin III have a happy ending with so bong and yet i don't see how they can make them grow closer to just tear them apart in the end. so i guess perhaps they'll have to get rid of the android "body" but keep his feelings / personality ? what if namsin is actually brain dead and they somehow find a way to bring him back by putting namsin III's "core / brain" into him? that'd make him a cyborg but he'd be mostly human and would start getting feelings and such which could start a new arc and save us from the boredom that'd be this drama if namsin doesn't wake up and they keep on trying to hide namsin III from the others' eyes.
On What's Wrong with Secretary Kim Jun 16, 2018
uninteresting comment but: it feels so weird that lee tae hwan plays young joon's older brother when park seojoon clearly is older... i don't know if picking lee tae hwan for the role was the smartest move... (i don't have anything against the actor!! quite the contrary but it kinda bothers me lmao)
On Come and Hug Me Jun 16, 2018
what bothers me with this drama - don't get me wrong i love it! - is the fact it's all dark, but too dark and yet not enough. It feels like it's happening in a small condensed world, you don't see much of their lives except for the dramatic stuff that happens. It kind of reminds me of while you were sleeping somehow but wyws's writers at least included some humour so it doesn't get too heavy...
if the drama was all about the heavy dark crime(s) i'd be okay with it but so far there isn't enough twist nor investigation related scenes. it gives me the feeling that the writers don't go far enough into the thriller side of the plot.
Either you go all thriller or you go all comedy / thriller (like wyws) but standing in-between gives off a weird feeling somehow
