Yes I know right, her hallucinating her dead friend was totally unneeded if they are not going to even give closure on that part of the story. There was really no value in the sudden surgery plot which gets resolved in a few minutes and time skip. I don't even know how many times she needs to get trapped in the lift. She studies Psychology and has good grades but is totally brainless to ML's behavior at the end. 2nd leads? I totally do not remember them after finishing this show.

If you have watched the movie the drama is adapted from, its the same. It is because he choose to find DaJung instead of playing in the basketball game which can get him to Hankuk University. That was what happened in the past. The turning point of his life. He choose DaJung over Basketball/Hankuk Uni in the past. And he was given a second chance but he still made his choice which is DaJung, hence he turn back to his old self.
