If I am not mistaken in ep15 they are making fun of the scene in âA Female Student Arrives at the Imperial Collegeâ…
Omg yess you're totally right!! The parody and satire are so realâby now theyâre basically dragging half the characters from other dramas đ No trope is safe, and honestly, theyâre doing such a great job with it!!
I didnt think of that...but your right. But I get the feeling little sis likes her older sister and idolizes her....maybe…
Exactly bestie!! She hasnât changed yetânot really. Just showing her chasing after her sisterâs love again proves sheâs still stuck in her old pattern.
But that doesnât mean sheâs a bad character at all! Itâs more like the dramaâs saying: people make mistakes, but when life gives you another chance, you gotta do better. Thatâs the whole point đ
ML has the best mom! I am surprise at that scene when she spoke up to the Emperor, well done Empress Mummy!
Bestieee!!Yesss!! ML has the best momđin the middle of all the misunderstandings, misjudgments, and miscommunication heâs drowning in đ. Itâs all sooo exaggerated, but in the funniest way! Theyâre totally making fun of those classic drama characters like the Emperor, and itâs honestly so fun to watch đ
But gotta admit her character is different than the one described in the og script read by the fl
Trueee! You can tell her vibe is different from what the FL read at firstâmakes you wonder if the "script glitch" is happening to others too đ I think the directorâs just being super creative now. The plot feels smart, with hidden messages you donât usually see in these kinds of dramas..
But arent dumb FL always like that? Instantly believing any weird shit about the ML jumping to conclusions....look…
Exactly!! Theyâre making everything super exaggerated on purposeâlike the constant misunderstandings, the dramatic family drama, and the evil character whoâs just evil for no reason đ
They set it all in this crazy dream world to show how overused and silly these tropes are. Itâs their way of saying, âHey, this kind of drama needs to change!â
Itâs fun, but also a smart way to call out the whole genre..
I didnt think of that...but your right. But I get the feeling little sis likes her older sister and idolizes her....maybe…
Yess exactly!! Thatâs actually part of the original plotâlittle sis always copies her big sis no matter what đ Itâs like her default setting lol.
And now that the scriptâs changed, sheâs supposed to change too⊠but nope, still stuck in her loop! Thatâs the pointâitâs all a satire making fun of those repetitive drama tropes. Theyâre dragging the whole genre ..lol..this dramaâs not just telling a story, itâs roasting those tired tropes from old-school melodramas. Itâs a totally different take..lol
He will probably happen when he will switch mask for the Bunny one. Need to not cover his mouth for it to happen!…
Omg... sis⊠not the bunny mask đ lol it looks like the ancient times Playboy editionđ We want the kiss with no obstacles in the wayâno creepy black mask, no bunny ears, just lips, and full eye contact please đđ
So wait⊠the sisterâs just gonna keep falling for whoever our girlâs into?? đ Even without realizing it?? The satire is so strong, I canât đ Itâs giving (copy-sister syndrome)..Girl, get your own man!
LMAOO !! At this point, every dude in his squad better stay a solid 3 steps back đ
Our MLâs on a whole mission to clear up that suspicion about his sexuality, and honestly? I donât blame him đ Sis was so sure for absolutely no reasonâlike girl really had a full breakdown over it⊠lol ..
Lol now⊠whatâs up with our girl and her cucumber era?? đ Like seriouslyâdinner at the feast with the ML? She chose cucumber..... Hanging with her maids? Sis still grabs the cucumber đ Itâs not a snack to her, itâs a personality trait đ
BUT thatâs the charm of this dramaâitâs kinda black comedy at its core, and it even feels like some sort of parody or satire. And because of that, it was weirdly satisfying when Nan Heng finally kicked his brother and cousinâs asses at the end of the ep đ His true nature is so welcomed now.
Heâs been through it his whole life, and now theyâre finally giving us just enough backstory to justify why heâs so savage. I donât think this drama is trying to paint any character as the ultimate villainâtheyâre all gray in some way. Even the emperor⊠Iâm sure theyâll throw in some tragic excuse for his nonsense too đ
This drama land really lets the wildest, maybe even painful stuff happen in a silly, comic way and just says, âitâs fine, everyoneâs got traumaâ lol. And honestly⊠itâs a new style, a fresh take in C-dramasâand Iâm so interested!

Especially with that ridiculous hat blocking half the sceneđ
We, the LYN-certified crazy pumpkin squad, demand a proper, deep, steamy kiss. No hat. No excuses........Period.
