If I was the father, I would never accept Xing Si & Yong Jie as lovers. They're not blood-related but their parents are married to each other. I can't imagine how conflicted the father felt deciding between accepting his sons as lovers for their happiness or to knock some goddamn sense into them. Yong Jie was beyond saving from loving his step-brother at that point, but Xing Si has so many other options. And the whole "I'm Xing Si's best option, because I'm already apart of the family" makes is just nonsense.
