From its early days to the incredible community it is now, MDL has grown into more than just a database — it’s a place where fans connect, share, debate, recommend, and sometimes collectively spiral over fictional characters.
A huge thank you to the admins and owners who built and continue to maintain the platform, to the moderators and staff who keep everything running (and sane 👀), and to the countless contributors who help expand and improve the database every single day.
And of course — the community. Every review, every list, every comment, every heated discussion about ratings… that’s what truly makes MDL what it is.
To celebrate, we’ll be hosting some fun activities throughout the month — a little chaotic, a little creative, and very MDL-core. So stay tuned, join in, and let’s make this anniversary one to remember!

You aren't a bad person if you accidentally offend someone. You just need to polish your social skills, say sorry and move on. But fear of offending can become a problem that leads to self-silencing, anxiety and over-politeness, driven by a desire for harmony rooted in a need for approval. The idea is to force everyone to live in fear. Fear of offending. Fear of conflict. Fear of not being liked. Fear of missing out. It's much easier to control a whole country this way, and governments know it and they know it's easy to bully a coward than a fearless one.

There are videos all over platforms like xhs & dy where these SS secretly recorded him through out his journey in the flights. They proudly posted they haven't missed any of his flights till date Few days back there was an video on xhs about them following him even outside restroom(can you imagine how pathetic it is) He had to change his hotel accommodation multiple times during filming as these people used to knock his door at the middle of the night He changed his phone number multiple times as they keep calling him at the early morning(some of these SS posted his call recording on dy to show off he picked their calls). They even called his family & friends Ordered takeaway and other staffs for him on his behalf Following him till his apartment, get his personal information from packages
This are just few things we know. Things might be worse than this for him to speak up
How do you even think it is fine and he deserves all this harassment just because he is an actor? Just put yourself in his shoe and decide will you be able to endure it? No one deserve such harassment
Glad it's been said. The fan culture in Asian countries is seriously toxic. I remeber incidents like fan clubs trashing actors for getting into relationships with claims like fans should be enough for them, that the actors are ungrateful for the fans' love; or actor having to apologize, because his girlfriend, now his wife, visited him on set and borrowed his jacket, they took a picture and fans went berserk, because the jacket was from them - like he should have let her freeze. And the actors must shut up or even apologize. By speaking up for himself, Zhang Ling He stood up to this twisted thinking of fan service above all and did so for all the other actors and actresses as well. 👏🏼
