I've never seen Lin Shen in anything, but honestly I didn't need to. He was very good at bringing some heat to his scenes with Zhao Liusi :o) I too, enjoyed the realness this drama gave!! The only other comparison I can think of is Love Designer and it still doesn't come close.

Completely agree with you about the change in the story by the end.

I just watched the movie this is based on and the friend is completely different. In the movie, they are around the same age and she was the first to admit fault about the car. In the show, I've noticed a number of oddly-cast actors. Why is the BF so much older and hanging out with GS? She should be over a lot of the things that would be a bit more "understandable" if a younger person did it. I think the writers basically did a hit job on the BF for "drama" -sake.

I completely agree. Which is why, I often like shows that others would grade lower overall because it's so refreshing to see a healthy relationship.

I don't agree or disagree. The TV show has strayed just enough in character and tone to be its own thing. Also, it seems to me that the relationship could have easily been a platonic one in the movie, while on the TV show the chemistry between the two leads is obvious and you'd naturally want them to become romantic.
