I'll never understand that chopstick scene like wth was going on in their heads... But it did made me laugh lol Thanks for your insight :) It's not only that the romance is more highlighted and there's less fighting but I've also noticed that Ning Que is a happier character, or is it just my impression of him? He smiles more often even though this part of the story is more tragic. I don't want to sound like a saddist but I wanted to see his suffering, desperation, hopelessness and anger. As for the romance for me the way it's in the novel is enough because their relationship is full of depth even though there aren't many lovey dovey scenes.

Can't believe I'm praising a Chinese drama for CGI but I must admit that animation in this one is so on point. The little fox is ADORABLE and so expressive!

Are you talking about Eternal Love aka Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms? That show only had 1 season. There's also another show called Eternal Love which had 2 seasons. They're completely different shows :) This one, Eternal Love of Dream aka The Pillow Book, is a story happening in the same universe as TMOPB but it focuses on the characters of Dong Hua and Feng Jiu. They already appeared in TMOPB but in this drama their story is based on the novel that's why it's totally different :) Hope that helps :)

I was looking forward to Chaoyang City Arc too T_T Do you guys think they had Ning Que's character tonned down to match Dylan Wang's rather innocent public image or was it a censorship issue? Arthur's NQ was way brutal.

I don't blame Dylan. I think he is fine. But I do believe he would have done much better with a better script and better guidance on portraying emotions. Maybe he'll get to improve in further eps :)

I agree with you :) I'm completely invested in watching the show despite its flaws because just like you I LOVE the story. Ning Que and Sang Sang are flawed but loveable characters. You rarely get to see such couples in dramas. Their relationship is so much more than romantic love. I love them and their story to bits! Will watch till the end!

Exactly! I also love the song called 'Darkness' it really sends shivers down my spine whenever I hear it especially the male version. I was so excited when they played it in ep1. Too bad they're not using it more often - it's such a gem!

As expected, it's hard to fill in Arthur Chen's shoes but I'll definitely watch it till the end maybe Dylan Wang will grow on me :) And WOW so many new faces!! I had a hard time guessing who is who lol. I'm so glad they're using soundtrack from season 1. It gives me a nostalgic feeling ❤️

I felt exactly the same thing about the editing! Tbh if I hadn't read the book I wouldn't know what's going on in some scenes. So sad they had skipped so much. No chance for season 3 I guess.

This is a live action which does justice to the manga. It rarely happens. The cast did such a great job. No one had been miscast. Kubota Masataka is a believable Kaneki. He’s exceptionally good at portraying Kaneki’s internal struggle. As a fan of Tokyo Ghoul, I’m satisfied. If I were to nitpick, CGI was crappy at times, but I love the way they animated Kaneki’s ghoul-eye. Sometimes it looked like it had a life of its own. Can’t wait for the next part!

Moon Lovers is the best one! Those mommy issues were damn annoying. Loved the drama though! :)

If you’re scared to watch this drama because of the topic it deals with – don’t be. It’s not grim at all and for an angel of death Shinigami-kun is quite cute and gullible - I hadn't expected that :) The stories are good and show all sorts of characters. The one about elderly couple was especially touching imo. I wish Akuma had had more screen time and character development though. He was an interesting character. 7/10

I've seen Cinderella and I regret nothing muwahaha! ^^ I do feel guitly about Full House 2, Itazura na Kiss and HYD though so come and arrest me now~! Love the article ^^

Yes I have read Greek mythology. LOL :) So? Can't I expect from the characters who are supposed to be gods (or even other characters) to have more depth and not be so one-dimensional? :) The plot seemed so interesting and the visuals looked great especially the Water Kingdom but something went wrong along the way and it's breaking my heart I blame the scriptwriter </3

This drama has become a complete mess... I tried to look away but I can't stand it anymore. It's like the characters don't know what they're doing and why. They're supposed to be gods but to me they act like those arrogant rich brats I've seen in so many k-dramas @.@ I wanted to see more fantasy in this. The good part of this show is music and Habaek's black-blue hair when he's back home.
