I think this poor guy is doomed with the second lead syndrome.. I swear in every goddamn drama.. give him a chance, good acting+ fuukin attractive.. what do you want more!!
Found the last scene really hilarious somehow where David, Nam shin and Ji yeong.. the three were standing staring with their single asses looking at Nam shin 3 and Kang so bong together.. hahahaha.. I was thinking how a robot has a girl and they don't lmao
watching this I was preparing myself and fucking scared to see a miserable ending.. I thought they will just kill Nam shin 3 and damn in the last episode i cried like a bitch but I'm so happy they bring him back and it killed me when a single tear fall from his eye in the end :')
I really loved this drama production wise it was one of the best if not the best ever.. but I really didn't like how they killed the mother hoped she will live in the end it was so sad even tho because of her Nam shin got over his pain and got back to his old self. still wished she was still there the scene where she saw her sons broke me...
the only thing I'm not satisfied with is the fucking Seo jo or whatever his name is. that piece of shit I feel like they could've at least show us how they found out about him and they should humiliate him.. it's not enough to see him "doing well" in a prison... also they didn't bring anything about how his father really died! Nam shin still believe the story he told him.. so it's frustrating! I really wanted the truth to be revealed at least if they're gonna kill their mom, poor David he's going to be alone :(
also am I the only one who felt the bromance lol? between Nam shin and his heong Ji jeon?
The mother in law made no sense. She was just like "I hate you and you're not adecuate for this temple" so she…
I'm glad someone noticed the nonsense that was going on lol, seriously the mother in law was really cringy at some point like they could easily put a reasoning for her to hate Junko at least!
and that temple part was hilarious to me even tho they intended it to be "dramatic".. you said it really, the problem was with writing it was very poor and similar to what a middle school kid would've write..
but you know what, knowing it was originally a manga it all makes sense to me, bc mangas usually don't give a shit about making sure of the technical parts to be applicable in real life, (like the brother selling the temple n stuff..) they will just add whatever takes to make some "drama" and in manga world it would still be dumb but you could pass it, but putting it as a real life example is just horrible..
and omfg "Yamashita-deadpanface-Tomohisa" I laughed so hard reading it !! I never really realized his acting was not that great before, I only saw him in dramas when I was just starting with J-dramas, and as a kid I had the biggest crush on him lmao, but I guess not anymore.
Well... I think that he was crying because he failed at keeping pretending about his marriage (not necessarily…
I agree he wasn't ready for anything lol.. but damn your way of seeing things is really interesting and after reading that I can't but to agree with u on how "she wanted to earn him" .. that's very noble and I think it just fits Ji An.
on a side note a really liked the way you word sentences jeez it just hits you right in the "kokoro" lmao , seriously I like how you interrupted things, judging from your comments you must be a great writer ^^
ok just finished this drama in a one day, and honestly I tried to like it but I can't help but to feel disappointed, even tho I heard alot of praise and people liking it so maybe because I had high expectations? or I mean Idk maybe it's bc I just finished a really good drama right before I watch this! so in comparison it made this one look very poor.
one of the main reasons I was disappointed is because I thought the story was about a monk who's conservative (you know a typical monk) then a girl fall in love with him, then they will show us how awkward and naive he is with love and stuff, the stories where he slowly opens up because of love.. I thought it would be interesting if it was this way, however with their cheesy intro (when the kid came and explain that the monk fell in love) I knew half my hopes were gone.
I don't know how to word it but I'm usually very easy to be moved and I cry watching most dramas lol, but this one somehow their "dramatic" and sad scenes was very poor and totally not sad, they made tiny things look dramatic and it made the whole thing a bit cheesy like the one time when she was in rain, she just sat there while she could get a taxi or whatever.. jeez what's the big deal if it's your birthday..
and I get that it isn't supposed to be sad and should be light hearted but even the supposedly romantic scenes weren't touching, Takane felt actually very creepy and draggy how he kept following her and even asking to marry him when they almost never met before.. he was very pushy and selfish and even tho I think there was some couple of cute moments between them, but he was generally pushy. and I preferred Kiyoumiya much better.
also please correct me on this, but I feel like Takane didn't act as a "monk" that's very conservative as they try to half ass it in portraying him like when he sets under the waterfall and keep praying, but at the same time his actions doesn't portray this "personality" they gave him.
I mean other than all of this I liked the side couples much more and I actually enjoyed them specially mr.Arther and Momoe with her fujoshi fantasies lmao she was the funniest character imo..
but after all I gave this series 7.5/10 maybe I would've liked it if I didn't watch it right after my favorite drama lol
We may not know if they have divorced or not, but they have clearly separated. He no longer refers to her as wife,…
I totally agree now!!! I kind of re watched some parts and stuff, and read couple of analysis on the fan website, and after rethinking the type of person he's I'm more convinced that he thinks of YH as his "child' mother" and not anything more..
and man seeing how wide and warm his smile was when he saw JI-an on the last scene tells alot ^^
We may not know if they have divorced or not, but they have clearly separated. He no longer refers to her as wife,…
Oh I remember another thing that threw me off and thought they were still together is when he had his wife and son's pictures framed on top of his desk.. I mean yes they're family but Idk that made me have mixed feelings..
Well... I think that he was crying because he failed at keeping pretending about his marriage (not necessarily…
damn your analyzing made me tear up! ;; it made me really sad when he said "why would she call me?" because I understood it the other way, I thought because he was pretending that he moved on, he was saying that" we aren't a thing so why should she call me".. but seeing your explanation I think it sound more true and it's even sadder this way :(
and thinking about ji-an even when she wanted to stay and love him, when she finally had a place and people that loves and cares about her.. she stopped herself and went as far as she can just to protect him and to wish that he will find happiness with his family..
We may not know if they have divorced or not, but they have clearly separated. He no longer refers to her as wife,…
you know speaking of him referring to her, the last scene where he was talking with someone at a cafe, the translator wrote it as "my wife and I" when he was speaking about them not having a good English and their son mocking them for it or smth, so that was something that made question that they're still together!!
I'm glad I wasn't the only one seeing them together :').. and thx for the site once again~
Hi :) Well, in my pov, the ending was indeed a promising for JA and DH! Idk if you remember but DH's mother said…
aw yes I remember her birthday and how happy she was with DH wife :(! it all makes sense then, I had it as a thought but I wasn't sure if this what actually happened..
also I remember DH wife when she was solving Ji-an issue with the police, he thanked her and she talked about "repaying" then she said something in between the lines that sounded like she this is her "farewell" that's why I thought I would see them divorced very soon after that..
You know what's so special about this drama? It gets even better the second time around, especially if you understand…
ohh! it didn't come to my mind to rewatch it! but it definitely deserves a second round! I can't imagine how much more touching it would be to watch it knowing each of their backgrounds and motives I think it would be too damn emotional.. and wow these are really some detailed analyses! thanks for linking it, I guess I'm having a second round of crying lol
I googled him and I can't stop laughing, I think it's his ears and head shape
I wish he'll have main roles.. he deserves more TT
but I'm satisfied with the ending anyway :)
I really loved this drama production wise it was one of the best if not the best ever..
