IF A SHOW ROMANTICISES ABUSE BETWEEN THE MAIN RELATIONSHIP THEY WANT THE AUDIENCE TO ROOT FOR, IT'S NOT A GOOD SHOW. don't you realise how dumb you sound calling it the *best* drama when you literally just said that abuse scene bothered so many ppl. and it's not just that one scene, gu hai made bai luo uncomfortable many times and the writers of the show made stalking and manipulating seem ~romantic~ when it really isn't. can you imagine abuse victims watching this and seeing all the positive feedback??? you do realise that the creators of the drama (and the novel) MADE these characters meaning they MADE bai luo let it slide and they normalised sexual assault within a relationship. and you and countless of other viewers are contributing to that normalisation by being ignorant and hoping for a second season. also "abuse is in the eye of the beholder" ummm wtf ??? you letting gu hai off the hook means you're invalidating irl victims' experiences. abuse is abuse. an abuser is an abuser. that's it. stop defending these writers and stop giving them a platform to release more toxic content by supporting them !!
