Fl's friend likes someone who doesn't return her internet and "2nd" leads get annoying after the mid point
I guess I haven't watched enough kdramas 😂. Still enjoying things that might make seasoned watcher cringe. Didn't watch LIFS and have managed to miss the ML-has-trauma-relating-to-a-sibling-death trope until now.

Hmm, they all have traumas yes, but they stem from the same tragic accident, so I don't know if I'd call it cheap. The story is still unraveling.
Yes, it's very fortuitous that they all end up living in the same house (except 2FL who tries to force her way in), but writer has already brought up the theme of fate early one, so I'll buy it because I like them so much.

Now if either ML or FL end up getting hit by a truck, or ML and FL suddenly discover some secret childhood connection, or ML or FL end up with amnesia, I will lose all my faith in the writer and agree that the writing is cheap. 🙄

@XingBack 2ml didn't go to the movies because he has some trauma related to rain, and it was raining on a day of the movie outing. He has clearly had a crush on FL since the beginning, and I was glad that he actually confessed instead of just gushing about her to his friends. Now maybe he can move on (and find different girl that's like his mom. LOL). Once he moves past "DongJoo is the french fries to my hamburger" feelings, maybe they can really become a surrogate family for him since he seems to be alone.

I think the trauma and ex-GF were definitely part of the original storyline, I'm just wondering if it's now dominating more of the plot then it was originally suppose to. The bride story in particular seemed incomplete so we never really connected with her or understood why she had no friends. Is it just that her friends weren't impressive enough for her new rich in-laws? Was that whole ghost scenario just a suppose to be a backdrop for the scheming uncles and the ex-BF to show up and demonstrate why Tae-hee is a vastly superior upgrade? The writer has been pretty good about telling these little side stories in ways that have been emotionally effective, so this one felt particularly off to me.

This is so cute, I thought others might appreciate.

Dunno if anyone follows Hyeri's IG, but prior to Ep 10 she posted a teaser mentioning "the episode 10 promise." Apparently some reference to the expectation that leads usually kiss by episode 10?

I actually didn't know that, and JunYoung didn't either so he asked, "What's the episode 10 promise?" To which Hyeri very helpfully responded, "Something children don't need to know." 😂

JunYoung must have really really wanted to know because he then took to Twitter (!!) to ask the masses. Read his post here : https://twitter.com/1ee_Jun_Yxxng/status/1598268991054974977?t=h_vRrhGFznztTpskGMG9iw&s=19

@XingBack I think she had a plan that got derailed by itaewon and then had to add more 2fl filler.

The 2ml was cute. Misguided but cute. He seems to have lost his mom at some point and clearly misses her. He also has zero experience with females.

The ex-bf was inexcusable though. I really hope he's gone for good. What a jerk.

so for 2 strangers to takea boy camping... its like normal in s.korea? like... yes thru the church, but a boy…
As a mom, I was taken aback by a boy going on a camping trip with a stranger too. We start teaching "stranger danger" over here as soon as our kids can walk, but I feel like this is more an indictment of the country where I live. -- It's unfortunate that I have to teach my kids to be wary of strangers. On Netflix there's a show called "Old Enough" where kids as young as 3 are being sent on significant errands on their own (crossing busy streets with traffic for example), but they send them out trusting that strangers along the way will help them if they need it. It would be nice to live in a place where there's so much faith in the decency of others.

And finally an English title I like better than the Korean original. “May I Help You” is perfect for the story.
I agree! The title works on so many different levels.
As a reference to the ML's errand businesss.
As a reference to the FL's service to the dead.
As a reference to the FL offering the ML someone to lean on.
As a reference to the ML's help to the FL in so many small ways. <3 <3 <3

omg same i was expecting a move to heaven route where they focused on the people stories and the main storyline…
For better or for worse, they've changed the story line post Itaewon Tragedy to focus less on the sad stories and more about healing.

Over its first two weeks this show has already ticked several classic k-drama romcom boxes with lingering hugs,…
Unless Jilliam Elle is actually a man named Pierce Conran, this comment was copied from his review on www.scmp.com.

I thought his review was totally inaccurate and missed the heart of what makes this drama great -- namely tongue in cheek humor, and a well written female lead character.
