As a stand alone its ok. But for someone who has read the novel and then watched the drama before watching the movie, I felt that the movie was rushed and we didn't get to see the romance developing between the characters (a montage scene would have been perfect). Also Yang Yang has a better interpretation of the lead than Jing Boran. While I liked Angelababys Bei Wei Wei better, the drama interpretation was closer to novel, it owuld have been amazing if she and Yang Yang starred in teh drama together. Sigh. Unfortunately thats not the case.
