Welcome to kisskh! Like a great deal of westerners, the emergence of Squid Game in 2021 began my curiosity for South Korean drama. The transition itself was rather seamless since my eyes have been trained to read subtitles from watching Japanese anime & a few Spanish dramas. After finishing season 1 of All of Us Are Dead (2022) I found myself at a stand still, not wanting to diverge into Netflix’s wide collection of romance shows out of fear they would be corny. This changed forever after watching Crash Landing on You (2019) for the first time. To this day I still debate to myself whether it would stand atop my list once more after a rewatch. For now I can’t recall a piece of work that moved me as much as Mr. Sunshine (2018). An absolute masterpiece of a show that made me want to start this list!
