He's one of the biggest and best actors in the country, starring in loads of great movies and some great dramas over the years, even in some big hollywood movies, and this is quite possibly the biggest downgrade I've seen.

Nah I understand that both crimes that happened are far different from each other, but it's still a similar method, and I think it's too much of a coincidence that the first crime they're investigating just happens to have a similar method to the first and only person they've talked with so far. It's not a big issue of course, just something that bugged me when it happened.
I agree on the MC, and I do quite like his character, but it's quite hard for me to care at all due to the pacing with a lot of boring shit in between the good stuff if you know what I mean. Small conversations between different characters that contribute to nothing interesting for example. I will be continuing for now because honestly despite me thinking this it's literally the only watchable drama from 2022 so far excluding netflix originals, and nothing interesting is coming out soon either lol.

Gotta completely disagree with your takes on Mouse. With coincidences and dialogue, It's mainly directed to the second case, but there were some convenient things happening in the first too. The dialogue from the woman in charge in the second case consisted of the same thing over the course of 40 minutes. "I think you're crossing the line", "You're overstepping the line." "You're crossing the line here." In every conversation. Come on now. It's like her whole character is built on that sentence.
For coincidences, they really only met with one prisoner so far who was in for a crime where he cut someone into many pieces, only for the first crime they're tasked with to be a very similar crime. I don't believe that one bit, it's too convenient.
About slow burns, I'm fine with them as long as I like the plot or there are subtle things such as in the dialogue or camera techniques etc to make it interesting. A good example of this is Burning, one of my favourite movies of all time. Slow burns like strangers from hell work differently to something like through the darkness that's about investigations on different cases in mini arcs. Strangers from hell is slowly testing the main character's patience throughout the whole show and towards the end it starts to explode which was a great payoff. In this, the only payoffs you'll be getting is finding the culprit every 2-3 episodes.

Nah honestly I'm fine with any genre as long as it's good, and this is riddled with coincidences and poor dialogue specifically from episode 3 with the woman in charge. It's also not managed to pick up any momentum, so it's just stale.

I actually prefer both psychological and action together like Mouse for example, but this isn't too bad just boring most of the time. I watched episode 2 and my opinion hasn't really changed yet.
Not much (in the first 2 eps at least). Even though the first case is quite gruesome, I personally didn't feel…
Aight I'll still try it, honestly the only misses last year for me were love alarm 2 and so not worth it. The silent sea being my least favouite out of the good shows.

Anyway, it's not bad, just pretty stale.
