Any dramas similar to this aside from the guest and kingdom?

I officially quit kdramas. They finally make something amazing, and they cancel it immediately.

Is this drama fully serious, or are there characters that are used for comedic relief?

I personally don't care about anything "sensitive" portrayed in media. So even if I was Korean this wouldn't affect me one bit.

Apparently it's not confirmed yet. Everything's being discussed until tomorrow now.

From what I know it's not pro-chinese at all. It's just Knetz pissed off at the drama for having some Chinese elements in it. Quite a poor reason to completely axe it.

Gonna need a lot longer than that lol. Don't see anything interesting that's coming out any time this year yet.

Well I'm pissed. The one time Korea makes a great looking drama it's cancelled. Guess I'll wait another year.

It's not that I'm giving up on their dramas as a whole, I'm just giving up on all upcoming dramas and movies for the time being. I'll probably still check out a few that I've missed from previous years, but the main reason I'm watching airing dramas is due to having watched everything I was interested in to begin with.

Honestly if the same type of shit happened to something made in my country, I'd be just as frustrated as I am now. It's just a fictional tv series. I understand why it's been cancelled because of the sponsors leaving, but I think the outrage itself is pathetic. I'm more frustrated with Korea itself than just this cancellation. Hence why I'm probably giving up with their tv.

yeah they do. I'm probably not watching any kdramas for a few years so hopefully by that time they've made another good drama like this.

Nah I still massively disagree. This is a tv show. If you don't like what they're doing, don't watch it. But they cancel it? Way too many steps too far. Netflix should just take the drama and release it.

I think they will get a lot of screen time.

Hoping it's a full serious drama with no comedy or weird drama to lighten the mood.

Yeah I'm really hoping the last 14 don't decline in quality because so far it's been incredible.
