To say that this is boring is an insult to every person who's in the workforce, blue or white, men, women, mothers or fathers, young or old. It is a slice of life story, so there's nothing new, only relatable to those who have been there or witnessed it. It happens IRL, and every adult experience it one way or another. To see their downfall materialize brought back flashes of my memories of friends, colleagues, mentors, and families (including myself) that experienced the highs and lows of adult life. Yes, I bawled my eyes out. Despite the heavy feels, I will continue to watch it.
Not a drama but I'd highly recommend Hannibal. Although it is /much/ more graphic than anything you'd find in…
It's impossible to create darkly themed Kdrama due to restrictions and possible scrutiny from general viewers but Kmovies can go extreme, so I think you might find a few. Japan has some dark movies, but I don't remember any of it. Battle Royale and Suicide Club were probably shocking... kind of. One friend told me back then that the Battle Royale manga was more gruesome.

I haven't seen any KR psycho crime drama that's graphically close to Hannibal (series). It's hard to pull off a Hannibal-like drama in KR. Everything might end up blurred.
Thriller, crime, mystery, psychological, I'm in! This isn't just melancholic, it's creepy, dark and a little bit…
Stereotype, you think but not every female couch potato will watch this type of drama. That's why there are good dramas that have lower ratings no matter how good it is. Male viewers, on the other hand won't waste time leaving any rating after watching every show. Once the series is over, they move on.
An actor who can transition to a different person is a great actor. That's why they are called actors. Any fan who can see beyond the dashing debonair and applaud him for doing well in portraying such a challenging role is the greatest compliment any actor would want to hear. To them, that is the greatest achievement in their life.
Should be at 8.8 or atleast 8.7 if not for the people who are rating it low bcz of their petty reasons. And those…
Thriller, crime, mystery, psychological, I'm in! This isn't just melancholic, it's creepy, dark and a little bit disturbing. It's not "yet" as disturbing as Hannibal (US series) or any of the disturbing anime I have seen in the past. It ain't a pop drama, so it's not for everyone. I agree it's not fair to rate it low just because it's not easy to watch. I bet more male viewers will appreciate this.
Innocence made her long for a mother's love, but guilt haunted her the moment she sets foot into her broken abode. It's heartwrenching to watch once her demented thoughts were disillusioned at the end because even kindness nor love cannot heal the wounds of a broken heart. The end made me feel like my soul left me for a second. It hurts. Why Youngju? Why do you have to end it that way?
Such a good drama deffo an 8/10 but why can't I stand the actress playing Kelly she seems so emotionless with…
All those years of abuse and condemnation from neighbors and strangers, a person will either become emotional or almost numb. I think Kelly chose to numb herself from all the hatred. To me, she's not emotionless. She's more like composed and mindful of her actions and words.
So much revelation and heartache on episode 8. I can't hate the devil for being uncanny good at what he does. Well played Mr. Devil. The theft and him hearing his lyrics from Kelly's mouth and adding her own words was like daggers to the heart. Darn, that was good. Poor Dong Cheon ends up with mixes of emotion. Duped by the devil and plans going awry, I'm feeling a little bit uneasy over what he will do next. Will he stoop down further to get what he needed from Kelly? I hope not.
Was the story that difficult to understand? It's not even close to being complex. I didn't need to break things down either, because they laid it out sequentially. The plot wasn't exceptional, but actors were a joy to watch, the adrenaline and the fact that it was a race against time kind of crime story was good enough to keep me glued to the screen, but is it memorable? Honestly, No. It's one of those weekend one time-watch movie. But then comes Go Eun. Her sudden appearance was intriguing. Her presence was creepy good, which is making me wish for a sequel. I can see that's she's going to be badass villain or anti-hero. I presume she's the dark influence to Minjae. Oooh, that idea is going to be a good addition to the story.
I am a big fan of Jung Suk. I love his acting skill, I love his plays too. Nokdu Flower was an unexpected jjang drama, so I am hyped up and will watch this later.
I'm enjoying it from first up to the current episode. It has that excessive touch that melodrama has but not to a point that it becomes too cringy or annoying, or maybe I like Chief and Captain too much that's why I find the exaggeration too squeaky clean. There is moral to this story but they intend to keep it light. Humor drowns out the heaviness or that annoying side of Dong Cheon, and Kelly's misfortunes.
Dong Cheon and Kelly's backstory is interesting. I knew there was a connection but I didn't expect that their existence wasn't too far back from each other. Dong Cheon's past also revealed who Luka could be. I wish they didn't give that out way too easily. Seriously, Korean screenwriters, stop telling, just show it. Now all I'm wondering is, how things will play out once Ryeol, Dong Cheon bandmate finds out more about Ha Rip?
I still remember her from Hana and Alice. But I don't remember Honey and Clover anymore. Geez, I haven't seen one Jdorama or Jmovie for a very long time.
