as a fellow aroace person with Somewhat similar experiences/feelings as the main characters, this was so healing to watch. i think the story did a great job at portraying a form of being aroace so other people with similar experiences can relate to it while at the same time educating viewers that don't understand. but i have to say some things left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

one of my issues is how some of the side characters were very stubbornly annoying people, and i do understand that characters like hama shogo play an important part in the story, i just felt like they were trying to play his blatant disrespect as pointless comedy when i believe it would've been more impactful if they used that comedy to mock his biased beliefs.

another thing is how takahashi and yukinos relationship was very bland, which is not really an actual problem but something i subjectively just didnt like, and i think i would've loved it more if they actually showed more than just a "family for convenience" type of relationship. one of the biggest stereotypes i've encountered in my life is people believing that aroace people "can't love" or them thinking love itself is not needed (and obviously i am not talking about romantic love here). the mcs did show love in their own ways, but i would've loved to see both of them talking more about it.

lastly, one of my biggest fears as an aroace person is the possibility of being "left behind" and never finding a person or a group that has my back throughout my life, and i hate just imagining living with someone i love that would eventually leave me to build a family on their own. seeing them find each other made me let go of those fears for a while and hope that i will find someone or multiple someones that think like me to build something together, and i am grateful for that.
