Seriously, all I wanted was for FL or her husband to give Yoo Jin Woo a hug. Just one parental embrace! Was that…
The viki commenters said that the actress was MIA for the last episode because of illness/surgery, so I'm just pretending that particular plot point (her leaving for two whole years) did not happen, lol. It was too unrealistic that she would leave her family and her mother with dementia.
I gotta say...Deuk Pal staying was pretty bleak. Finality of suicide and all that...okay, sure. But I just felt so bad for Yi Heon's situation the whole time and I wish he could have seen what it would be like to live with the care/protection of an adult (via the things Deuk Pal set in motion).
On the other hand, I understand the argument that Yi Heon wouldn't have been able to handle the new life that Deuk Pal had started living. If Yi Heon had come back, would anyone other than Se Kyung have treated him well? Or would they start to ignore him as the "gloomy" guy again? The whole situation reminded me of Someday or One Day. When the FL goes into the body of the high school girl, she makes her social life "better" but then people prefer her new personality over her actual self.
It was a great watch overall but I'm still conflicted.
Can someone tell me when there is a time jump? This has such a high rating but I just started episode 5 and I'm bored to tears by the absolute lack of plot or character development.
