I liked this K-drama a lot more than I expected! I was avoiding this one as Slice-of-Life-dramas usually bore me. I did skip some scenes, but overall it kept me intrigued. This show made me laugh and cry a lot. I loved the sense of community one gets by watching the villagers and their antics and cohesion. Since every character (not just the main leads) and their backstory gets introduced to us viewers, I almost felt like a part of Gongjin. I initially disliked the FML, but as the show progressed and she started to open up and adapt to the ways of the village, I came to like her. I loved the MML from start to finish and the MLs as a couple were adorable. I cried so much when the MML opened up to her and we find out his backstory. Other moments that really broke my heart were Gamri‘s death and her funeral, Yeongguk realising why Hwajeong wanted a divorce and the process of them getting back together and telling their son, when Yunkyung gave birth to their second child and I also shed some tears when Dusik gave Hyejin the jewellery box he made himself.
This has become one of my favourite K-dramas and I regret not watching it earlier!
I really enjoy this drama so far. I like how it‘s not an exact copy of the original. I feel like the main male lead is much more affectionate to the main female lead compared to the other versions.
I really enjoyed this drama even though it is really cliche. I didn‘t expect the ML to get stomach cancer. I really hope it won‘t end up being a tragedy.
I‘m only watching this drama because of the main lead couple. I love them together so much, they are adorable. What I really liked was that the ML showed his vulnerable side to the FL. ;_; I couldn‘t care less about the rest. Most of the time the others are frustrating to watch like Liu Wen Na, Tao Lun, ML‘s psycho birth mother and ML‘s father. I really wonder how these characters may or may not redeem themselves in the end.
Literally one of, if not THE worst drama I‘ve ever watched. I don‘t recommend watching it. It‘s not worth it. The male lead does have some good traits, the girl is plain stupid and frustrating to watch. The evil get away with too much. It‘s not worth watching. You only get like 2 minutes of the rushed happy ending.
