jung eunchae's character had like 4 scenes in total. in her very first scene, she talks about her bra. the second, she is a vying for a dismissive lee minho's affection. in the third, she speaks of handsome men. and in the fourth, she talks about her makeup. anyway this is the dialogue given to the fucking PRIME MINISTER of the kingdom. y'all what the actual fuck.
like the dialogues overall were so fucking cringy this week. you can't blame the actors at all bc i feel like they're trying the best with the material they were given. as someone who has liked (even if ironically) most of the writer's late 2000s dramas which the majority calls "overrated" and "stupid", i can't shield how bad the dialogues in this were.
before people accuse me of being unnecessarily critical of a drama before it even started, i want to say that its bc of my high expectations. i didn't expect a masterpiece but something mildly entertaining would be appreciated.

lee minho basically plays the same character he has always played. its too early to judge his acting or the general direction of the drama bc the script seems all over the place. the first episode was better than the second.
the king x euseop reunion felt more romantic than with tae eul lmao
anyway the second episode was dead boring and i skipped through almost the whole thing. definitely wanted to drop this. the leads aren't enough to excite me and the serial murder plot holds no interest for me. of course i feel like its too early to decide, so i'm gonna watch out for a few more weeks. hope it gets better.

- joonyoung should go and live with his dad and experience how unwanted he is there himself. if this little shit gets in between sunwoo and hot doctor i will riot! there was even a foreshadowing about it when they were talking about his father's divorcee ex-assistant getting a boyfriend. - taeoh is a disgusting obsessive snake who is tryig to replicate his marriage with sunwoo with dakyung. dude literally designed his new bedroom like sunwoo's i mean wtf is that all about! and following her around for two whole fucking years????? god what a fucking freak!!! - yeo dakyung needs to experience how it feels like to be cheated by the man she risked her reputation and basic human decency for. - dr. seol aka actual fucking snake can choke. her acting like she didn't betray sunwoo's trust hugely the first time around was infuriating, but doing the same again is just so predictably evil - legit so fucking mad rn - anyway i love this show and i will die for it. 100% deserves the hype.
