Watch him cry later that AI took his job. VA actors are already crying, next it's face actors. And if only their…
He knows. Something of this nature already happened to him in the past.
They faceswapped another actor on his body during AJTL period because he was "too ugly" as a male lead. The video recently got taken down on bilibili after a new AI law was passed in China. So he definitely knows the repercussions of AI abuse. Lived it for over 2 years. And probably learned to use it to understand it (as he stated👆🏾 above). Which makes it even more resounding that what was not, is slowing becoming what is. He is seeing it, many others are too. That he agrees with it, as he said: Find projects that AI cannot do. Or rather, I would hope: leave it to the audience to push back. They have the power. But will they?
I remember when Studio Ghibli's art style was copied by AI and although some protested against the use, many still went ahead to create cartoon versions of themselves. That's gotta tell you the voice of the silent is more than the voice of the heard. And I say this as someone whose job has been threatened by AI for years and had to adapt.
He said: - AI is here to stay, so understand it and learn what you can do with it. - Actors should not be too confident that they can't be replaced: See Tiktok, YouTube and Instagram vertical AI dramas that are the craze right now with a market that is silent but growing steadily.
He and other actors have more knowledge of what goes on behind closed doors more than viewers and can already see the change and push for it. So, his choice: Find projects that AI cannot replace. Simple.
He didn't say AI was the best thing in the world, neither is it the worst. It is just the reality of things.
So those treating him like he is leading the AI revolution in cdrama should learn to read and understand before responding recklessly. I mean every information to form an acurate opinion is right there, but we all gotta find someone to throw the vitriol at🤷🏾♀️.
P.S. the source article's direction is much more different and offers a context of what to do with the coming trend. Always heard this writer sensationalises things to get a rise from people. Now I know.
Some people don't understand the damage they 're doing on LYN's career by trashing the FL. You think another actress…
I'm not bothered by this doing damage to LYN's career because for one, he speaks out on injustice and he always scolds his fans when they are wrong. Even true LYN fans know not to mess his image up with their tantrums. Expect him to raise it in his upcoming Livestreams and crash everyone's dreams😂.
So any flak directed at the actress should be seen as pure drama audiences, not true LYN fans. At least that's how I've summed it up to be from following him these few years.
🤦🏿♀️Is the writer trying to parody other badly written misunderstandings or is she creating a whole new epic level? At this point, I cannot think of a great excuse for the writing. Ah😩, so much potential! At least Yiting was reasonable in 22.
I think the mechanics have revealed itseelf throughout and are pretty clear so far, no?
Some, not all. I like that they revealed them little by little, but I fear they will reveal others just for plot purposes, not world building. Our brains may be doing mental gymnastics in the second half. I do hope my speculative/sci-fi/fantasy mind is just overthinking.
I just had to come online after seeing how divided the comment section is. I actually understand both sides, and I think what is actually failing is the writing. It seems the drama will have 2 arcs: one where SYM does everything in her power to kill NH and the other trying to change the script and characters' awakening and butterfly effect etc. What the writer has failed to do is write a compelling arc one. Instead made the FL monotonous and tone deaf with her quest. If anything, they her killing what makes her relatable, turning her to an immature/obstinate FL. She has her prejudices, yes. But if we keep rinsing and repeating this, the story will get stale. And for the past 7 episodes, that's what we have been doing. It's still funny in a Stephen Chow nonsensical funny way, but the other side that is supposed to wring our emotions is not balanced-ML focused-which is why it would seem draggy and boring to some people.
Also, while satirical, the show should have introduced us to it's world building, rules, and mechanics of the script. A structured and tight world building would have saved the confusion (for reference: LGIEF did an awesome job with this). So far, they have done a poor job at this. And I fear the second half will start introducing us to the world of the script and mechanics (so much confusion and chaos to come), which are the plot points for the second half, and by that time, many would have lost interest.
So sad to see this happen, when every other thing checks out. The directing, editing, acting, music score, OST. Name it. Everything, but the writing.
This is still my haven because I am ultimate LYN fan (this is also the best I have seen of his acting. So natural!) and LYT is an actress I always look out for. Such a shame because I have been looking forward to this since the casting last year. But I hope, for the sake of the effort of everyone, that the second half delivers.
Phew! Finally said what has been itching my brain. Conscience cleared!
