My most loved series!
The first time I completed this series, I completely fell in love with the story, the actors / actresses, the songs etc. The story line is wonderful, a few minor changes from the book but not that obvious. But this did not stop me from watching this series a few more times! <3 I especially love Dilraba´s acting. She is so lively and cheeky in this series. She is definitely having loads of chemistry with Vengo Gao, making them an incredible pair for this series. Kudos to them! The music in this series is absolutely stunning - both vocal and instrumental. The right music at the right spots make the series even more amazing! Was this review helpful to you?
Police story and crime fighting
Another TVB Series from the 1995, this series is absolutely awesome and relatively short with 20 episodes. There is alot of action, crime busting ass and police work. It is a really good series to watch. Watching all the "old timers" of TVB series in action again after so many decades is indeed a beautiful walk down memory lane. This series I would recommend to anyone who is not only a police story and crime fighting fan but also a huge TVB fan.
The songs paired to the entire series is also very nice to listen to.

Awesome Anti Corruption series
It is a short 5 episode series. 5 stories of Anti Corruption solving with loads of action. This is one of the TVB older series which I would recommend watching, if you love crime solving series. There are also a couple of the old timer actors and actresses in this series that got me watching this series. Overall, if you are a great TVB fan or a Cantonese series fan, it would definitely be a great quick short watch - 5 hours worth. Was this review helpful to you?
Awesome Crime fighting series
Forensic Heroes 2 is a continuation of some of the characters' stories in Forensic Heroes 1 along with some of the new members of the Forensic Heroes team. I extremely love the stories shown in every episode. Although this series is many many decades ago, I have re-watched this series quite a number of times. I am quite a big fan of the TVB series and this is one of the few good series of TVB from the "good old days".If you have not watched Forensic heroes before, it is worth a first time watch. I highly recommend the series.

Extremely catchy beginning theme
This series is quite interesting. Not at all your common love romance drama ups and downs but more to real life experiences. There is a happy ending, though not the kind with cinderella and getting her dream guy kind of happy ending.I actually stumbled upon this in YouTube, did a quick browse and find the synopsis of the series not bad. I was also extra curious as to the part where they say completely no mushy love romance involved. So I checked it out and I can say I am hooked. There are some teeth gritting moments, but this is due to what life curves threw into their way and the methods and determination they used to overcome and resolve issues. I would say it is definitely a good first watch, but after that it would depend if you enjoyed your first watch.
The songs paired with this series is great. Like my title, I really love the catchy starting tune of the series. There are also other songs paired and they are lovely.

Very Dramatic
This series is very long, with more than 80 episodes. So be prepared to have a very long binge time on this series. It is a very old series - from the TVB era - and its superbly brought to life by the many casts who played their characters remarkably well. This series also somewhat depicts real life in a way, especially when money and power comes into question, although the fight amongst the sisters was somewhat sad to watch. The "drama" and the cruelty shown occasionally and also the naivety etc can also bring out the frustration in you, as the viewer, when watching this series. There is alot of action and drama, definitely, just a tad long episode wise.
The songs paired with this series is also quite nice to listen, these days such good music is scarce.
I would recommend a first watch, if you love the synopsis of the series. Regarding re-watch, it would depend if you like the long winded"ness" of the series or not.

Very nice , cute and funny series
Watched it because of Miles Wei - Wei Zhe Ming, his series has caught my attention lately. Overall, I would sum up this series as a very nice, cute, adorable with loads of funny and humorous scenes. The plus point, especially, is that it is not extremely long winded - short and sweet - without a load of drama / politics etc. It is a very refreshing drama with alot of quirky scenes. I find both the Male Lead and Female Lead are quite adorable together. Chemistry between both of them are also not bad. The other character that really tug at me was Tang Ding Ding, played by Zhang Mu Xi. That character is extremely adorable and funny - portrayed extremely well by Zhang Mu Xi. I would say that the entire crew + casts did a very good job in bringing this series to life. Great work to them all.It definitely - at least for me personally - is a re-watchable series (I actually binged it 2 more times after watching it)! However, if you find the synopsis interesting, just give it a go and decide if it is re-watchable.
The music is extremely great, pairing of the music is awesome.

Very educational
I would say that Gen Z is a very good show, long winded but good to watch. This series, if you really watch in-depth has alot of life lessons taught. Combining with the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the life lessons you can learn, it is indeed an absolute wonderful series to watch. These aside, I would say the series is abit tad long winded, certain aspects (like some of the people reviewed here) can be done without. Romance factor is not a really big thing in this series. Yes, you can see romance slowly blooming between the male and female lead along with other side couples, but not big and sizzling. I really enjoyed watching this series, although I played the skip button alot on certain parts of the series - especially parts with Meng Meng and Zhao Li Quan (character names in the series). They should not have made these parts so long winded and draggy. I enjoyed watching the banter between Zhao Lu Si and her master, it is very refreshing. I love the relationship of marriage between the characters Ren Xing Zheng and his wife and also the relationship of their parents. It is so nice to watch.I actually noticed this show for some time already because I was a really big Zhao Lu Si fan, however the total amount of episodes was what dragged me this long to bring myself to watch it. After watching it completely (finally), I can say it is a good series to watch - as mentioned, I really love the life teachings brought up in this series along with the TCM. Reminds me of my Grandmother, when she was alive back then, how she would tell stories etc about her life while growing up in China in the ancient times.
Overall, the entire crew + casts really did a good job bringing life to their characters and also the series. A big applause for them. Zhao Lu Si, as always, brought alot of fun, humor and laughter to her shows. Though the initial few episodes was quite fascinating when her master just "picked her up from the streets" to be trained. Luo Yi Zhou, the male lead, is not bad. If the info provided here is accurate, for his first series, I would say he did a good job. Alina Zhang was abit more difficult. I honestly hated her from the start because of her obnoxious and selfish ways. But she really did a good job portraying that character.
The music, for me, is just average. There are some nice pieces but not all is to my liking.
All in all, I would say give this series a try. Especially if you want to know more about TCM or the Chinese life teachings within. But it is abit too long winded for me to say / recommend a re-watch, unless you really love it from the first completion.

Short, sweet, funny and nice to watch
Firstly, I would have to point out that the Male lead, Chen Jing Ke, definitely looks waaaayyyyy much better with modern day looks than compared to the ancient garments.Overall, I would say that this series is a very sweet, funny, alot of humorous scenes, adorable and short to watch. It is one of the many travel back to ancient times series I have watched and it is definitely worth the first time watching. For me, personally, I had some issues with the first few episodes of the series, when the female lead gets transported back into the past. Those first few episodes, she was just too naive and dumb in those first few episodes on many scenes. It could be part of her script, which then I would say she did an extremely good job in portraying a feather head lady but with some street smartness. However, it was just too much for me, and I have to admit, I ended up skipping some scenes from the first few episodes. But other than that, I would say that the entire casts - including both the male and female lead - did an extremely great job breathing life into their characters and bringing the series to life. It is definitely worth the first watch, if you read the synopsis and find it interesting. A re-watch would solely depend on how you feel of the entire series after watching it.
The music paired with it is mostly nice to hear. I think it is a good pair for most of it.

Dylan Wang definitely fits the Overbearing CEO characters!
This story is quite nice to watch. It is even better watching Dylan Wang play, again, an overbearing CEO. I think that he really fits this type of character role. Overall, I find this story / series not bad. An overbearing CEO and a witty, funny and intelligent reporter. Technically, the story revolves around 4 couples, but the series mainly highlights on the main couple, Dylan Wang and Bai Lu. From the first accidental meeting to how they fell in love, have their misunderstandings and eventually the happy ending (which you need to watch the special episode for). Amazingly, they did this for the main 3 couples of this series. Would have been awesome if they included more about the 4th elderly couple. However, both the male and female lead did a remarkable job in bringing their characters to life. Bai Lu, with her wittiness and humor is indeed very refreshing and fun to watch, while Dylan Wang with the expressionless Overbearing CEO attitude is also a very interesting character. I would say that the entire casts for this series really did a good job in breathing life into their characters and bringing this series to life. The soundtrack for this series is awesome. It is one of those rare series that has so many songs, 11 in total, that is so nice and amazing to listen to. A great job in pairing the songs to this series.
Re-watch value, well, I would say depend on how you like the series after watching it for the first time. I did watch it the 2nd time, to catch glances on scenes that I might have missed out while binging for the first time.

Finally completed it!
I finally managed to complete this series entirely, with a few skips of scenes here and there. Overall, the series is not that bad or extremely good. It - for me personally - stands between a fine line of good and bad. I got slightly "conned" by the time traveling part mentioned in the synopsis. This is definitely not a time traveling series like Serendipity, but more science project gone wrong. That said, 30 episodes for this..... abit tad long for me.Both the Male and Female Lead are good, they did a great job bringing the characters and the series to life along with the rest of the casts. Despite some criticism about the Male Lead - Lin Yi - I would like to point out that he actually did a good job of portraying the character. Expressionless is most likely something the directors and script needs him to be. So I would say he nailed it awesomely. There are many other series with men portrayed like him also. Even in real life there are some people who are like how he is portrayed in the series. Expressionless, aloof, cold etc. The Female lead is cool, with her bubbliness, positiveness and her never giving up attitude. The only thing I couldn't stand - and most of the parts i skipped - was the bossy princess know it all attitude at the beginning when she found out she is "poor". But that also proves she is good in portraying her character of both being the rich princess and the poor scrapping person. The rest of the casts also did a great job. Especially love the hair salon manager - his antics are just so adorable. The evil person behind all the fiasco also really did a great job of being evil and two faced. Great job!
Music was also awesome. Paired nicely with the series.

Short, sweet and cute
Initially this series attracted my attention was cause of "unicorn" (I totally love unicorns =D) and the 2nd was that Darren Chen was in it (I first watched his series was Meteor Garden and really liked his acting). Overall, after watching the drama, my conclusion would be that it is a very cute and adorable series with very little "drama" or those "stressy" moments. If you are looking for something really light, no excessive drama / evil plots, this would be something you can watch -for a first watch. If it is worth re-watching, you would have to decide on your own upon completion. Both the male and female lead are quite adorable together, be it when they are pranking each other or the short adorable "romantic" moments. True, a twist of fate and both of them actually met and ended up with each other, but the process till the very end is quite funny to watch. It is fun to watch how the Male Lead actually cares for the Female Lead but tries to make it as subtle as possible without exposing that she is actually female instead of a male. The tenderness in him is so adorable. I love how the Female Lead tries promoting team work and helps others despite the outcome or the punishment. Despite what many commentators wrote, I find that she is quite good with this character and shouldn't be shot down over minor facts - i.e not good in ice skating / ice hockey.
No one is born ever knowing everything - including actors. Many actors and actresses do have to go through various trainings and teachings just to be able to film the movie or series that they starring in. People shouldn't be so quick to judge, comment or even condemn another just cause they aren't superb in a particular action / sport of the series they are watching!
The music is alright. Some of the songs paired to this series is quite nice to listen to. Would definitely look up the songs and check it out.

It's alright
Overall, the story line of this series is actually nice, sweet and adorable. The entire casts really did a good job bringing the series to life with all their various parts. The songs paired to this series is also very catchy and nice. However, the teeth gritting part, in my own personal view / opinion, is the non stop narrative of the Female lead and also the dang high and mighty attitude of hers. Yes, some will say she plays that part extremely well - even I won't deny this fact - but I think there is "too much" of it in the entire series and it makes it a turn off. I am also a bit sickened of her too sweet voice on certain parts. I believe that she has a very nice voice - referring to the parts where she is actually talking normally instead of that dang sickening sweet voice - and feel that she should use this more than the sweet sickening one.The series, in itself, is a nice and sweet watch. But, on the re-watchable note, it is definitely not something that I would want to endure all over again from the start. Not with having to endure those narrative and sweet high and mighty parts again.

Totally love it
Great movie, great casts, great music!Had this on my "Want to watch" list for some time but was hesitating in watching it because it was 40 episodes long and I rarely have the time to binge that many. But, no regrets doing the binge.
The series is awesome, alot of familiar actors and actresses in this series, including my favorites Yang Yang and Zhao LuSi. The storyline is indeed interesting and awesome, surrounded with loads of action, drama, romance and even humor. Yang Yang and Zhao LuSi indeed have great chemistry together, be it romantically or the humor parts. I especially love watching the parts where you find a confused Yang Yang when it came to Zhao LuSi's funny antics. It is especially funny to watch how, from the beginning, that the Male Lead actually likes the Female lead but is oblivious to it. The jealous moments are really cute to watch also. Overall, the entire cast for this series really did a great job bringing this series to life - especially the evil Stepmother queen (with looks and attitude xD).
The music paired with this series is also very beautifully paired. Love every single song they have. Too bad that Yang Yang and LuSi did not do a duet together. Would have loved to hear these 2 voices together - have listened to all of their individual songs.

Love it
The story is awesome, the acting is awesome, the music is awesome. I watched this series some years ago, but only found this site not so long ago, so recording all my watched series.I actually came to watch this because I really love Yang Yang's acting. The show is quite awesome - in my opinion - and the storyline is cool. Although the total episodes is abit long, but the action is there. This is one of the really few series I have watched without any romance element inside it except a world of gaming and competitiveness. The entire cast did a great job bringing this series to life. I would say Yang Yang is even more interesting in this series, especially when I only found out later that he plays twins.
The OST for this series is fantastic! I love every single song in this series. I would say it was paired beautifully.
