Yes. The ML wanted just to show off that he was smart and looked down on prosecutors. He didn't even have a good argument to argue with but wanted to show that he was so smart and blah blah blah. Some people can accept his behavior but I wanted to see a more reasonable detective here. I didn't know if it was because of the actor or the screenwriter who had done this part, but I didn't feel right.
