They didn't show any of this stuff in the drama, except the temple scene between MY and ZYL. It could have given more depth to the characters and help understand their mindset more clearly.

Tower scene between HQ and ZXW was really good. It was probably the first time we saw attraction from HQ' side. I know some people might feel hesitant about their interactions because HQ is married. But that is marriage is basically dead, HQ has already mentally checked out of that relation. Its only the official documents that is holding her down in this relationship. For me as a modern viewer, I don't care about her 'infidelity' when her husband can have as many women he wants. Only thing I worry about is someone catching them and spewing more rumors about her character. Already her reputation is not good and if others get a wind of this, she is the one who would be called names.

Yeah, that one. Not sure if its just a coincidence but I noticed same thing for LYF. Makes me more hopeful about this ship

Interesting thing I observed that hints towards the endgame. In the photoshoot for the magazine, actors for SML and 3ML lead are wearing black clothes. FL and ML are in matching colours/shades of beige/cream. I noticed similar thing for Lost You Forever, end game ship is wearing same colour.

That would be the worst ending. A total waste of time for everyone.

Husband is such a NPC with no personality. I don't understand how she fell for him in the first life. Maybe she wanted him only because MY was in love with him and he was a challenge.

Yes, I want her to be happy and live her life fully. It would be terrible if after going through dream life, she doesn't get a HE. I ship her with ZXW but as long as she is happy in the end I am okay if its with HRZ.

But in the original life HQ's family is already dead. Her father was executed and she saw her mother-brother's dead bodies.

Mu Yao would have been the FL in the original story but since HQ is the FL in story we are watching, she looks boring. MY is caught up in all the tropes we see in this type of dramas, framed by 2FL, settle for being concubine, has other MLs interested in her.

I don't care if he forgives her or not, Tbh, HQ has moved on him and hasn't showed ANY interest in him since she woke up in the second life. Just give HQ her divorce papers so she can physically and legally move on from him. But yes, if he gets to know that ZXW is interested in her, he will definitely be pissed off. It will be another blow to his ego.

I don't think husband loves her in either life. In dream life, even when he didn't know about drugging him, he never looked as if he is in love with her. Initially, it was more like duty and guilt which made him give her the ledgers and other stuff. But once he realized all the scheming she did, he distanced himself. When she asked for divorce in front of his household staff, he must have felt humiliated and so to punish her cut off her expenses. He is still suspicious of her but at least he has realized that she has lost interest in him romantically

Everyone has their own ship, I get it! For me, the ending has to make sense even if it is BE. This whole, "Oh, there are two endings" always seems like an easy way out. Just commit to the story and justify the characters you have written, instead of trying to make the shippers happy.

In this story, the most important thing is the growth and development HQ's character goes through in her 2nd life. I don't mind if she is with the bodyguard in that life but then stick with it. If you are going to give her a HE, then erase everything and bring her right back to her lowest point, what was the point of going through that journey?

Censorship can really ruin a drama, especially time travel/rebirth drams. Just put a warning at the start that everything is fictional and be done with it. Why make the writers jump through all these illogical loops?

Yeah, widows marrying brother or other males in the family does happen. I think this sort of marriages also happen among common people to keep property/children within family. In Unchained Love, the FL was concubine to the old Emperor but never consummated, later on she was taken as concubine by the new Emperor (previous one's brother). But the FL and the new Emperor were not a couple. So, we will have to see if/how ZXW and HQ can get together

100% agree with you re the brother. Even if it was a random maid he deserves to be punished. We don't know how many women he has abused/assaulted offscreen. I get HQ's pov that she wants to save her family but he is really not worth it.

It may be unpopular opinion but I am not bothered by MY's scheme to punish the brother. Their society really doesn't care about life of women unless they are important. Even HQ said so in ep 13. MY wouldn't have been able to get justice for her maid if she hadn't accused him this way. She herself could have been given away to Wu guy or someone worse, when she was just a maid. She could have used some other plan to trap the brother but no he wouldn't have been punished for what he did to that maid.

@fancy I have already made a comment about him not being an Emperor and how this change helps their ship. My point is that, if they are going with ZXW taking HQ as a concubine, why not do it in the second timeline? I don't understand why the second life has to be a dream? Maybe its only for censorship purpose but if they go for two different endings in two timeline, it would be very abrupt.

If she rejected ZXW and chose 3ML/HRZ in the dream timeline she must have at least liked him. Then she suddenly wakes up in the original timeline, where she is with ZXW but she has lost her family and everyone thinks of her as a villain. Seems very bitterweet.

Why make it so complicated? Let HQ and ZXW have their HE in their second chance at life.

There are some major changes form the novel that makes me think perhaps ZXW could be the endgame.

First, they have lowered the status of all the characters, in the novel ML is a Prince and Future Emperor, and FL's father is a prime minister. Here, I think only ZXW's mother is some sort of princess but he is not royal. His mother is addressed as Her Highness but he is called Lord. So they are not royalty and FL's father is only working for him.

Second, in royal families protocols must be strictly followed which makes the relationship between HQ and ZXW difficult. Since she was married to his brother, she can't marry him or even if she is taken as a concubine she can't be Empress/Wife.

Third, naturally, he will have many more women in his harem and HQ is definitely is not interested in a life filled with plotting and scheming. Plus life of a woman in harem is very restricted and she will always be walking on egg shells if she married him

In the second life, they are not royals so if FL and 2ML are divorced, perhaps it will be more acceptable if they get together at some point. It might be controversial in their society but since they are powerful family eventually it might be accepted. I am not Chinese so I am not sure about this one. But I have seen this sort of things happen in some series. Plus, her husband is not biologically related to ZXW. So that might give them bit more leeway. Also, he is not an Emperor here so other wives/concubines are not necessary.

People are theorizing about two endings, that second life we are seeing is a dream and she is in coma.

In her second life, she will end up with 3ML and in the actual timeline she will be with ML. I don't think this makes sense. If they go with this, it would be very indecisive and inconsistent, like they are not sure in their story, so you can choose the ending with the ship you like.

If HQ after going through all the troubles in second life, can't end up with ML then how can she be with him in actual timeline where she has committed all the bad deeds. Even if she somehow in a position to be with him, in her dreams if she has fallen for 3ML and live a normal life with him, will she be happy being with the ML. How can be it seen as HE? It will not be fair to either ships.

I haven't read the novel but from what I've read, 3ML, the bodyguard is the end game. It makes sense technically, she wants a quite life and he is very devoted to her. If I compare this to LYF, I liked the ending and who the FL ends up with. Here, though I don't see any romantic chemistry between FL and 3ML. It seems very one-sided and now that we are halfway through the drama , I don't know how they will develop their story. From all the promos, it looks like story will be focusing on ZXW and HQ. So even if they go with bodyguard as endgame it won't be satisfactory. I want a HE for HQ but I don't want her to settle with most convenient option. In LYF, FL loved the person she ends up with and their ending felt organic.

I am shipping her with ZXW, and I know she is vary of him but at least she seems attracted to him or aware of him as a man (She gets really flustered in his proximity and knew she would do something stupid after getting drunk). Maybe I am being a bit shallow but I think the ML is the best looking out of the three guys and a better actor. I don't understand why she fell for 2ML in her first life, when the ML liked her from the beginning. I bet if she knew that she would have set her sight on the Lord instead of 2ML.

This drama is turning out to be an unexpected surprise! I only checked this out for ZY but thought the first episode was boring. Lack of budget didn't help. But I am glad I continued with this one. I have watched the latest episodes and I am enjoying how the story is being developed. I like that FL is not typical good girl but more of an anti-heroine, even in her second life she hasn't turned into a goody two-shoes. She is smart and her tragic end in previous life has shown her what actually matters in life.

I love how she is complete over that loser husband of hers. Tbh both the SML and MY are what one would find as leads in this sort of drama. But since we are seeing them form her POV they seems like self-righteous pricks. Waiting for the moment when she'll finally get rid off them. Let them both be insufferable together.
