How do you function in society when slight criticism of your fav drama get you all twisted up?

Are you serious? If the genders were reversed people would find it even more creepy. There would have been grooming allegations thrown at ML. Many didn't like Hidden Love and thought the interaction between young FL and ML was weird. I am not talking about just international fans but quite lot of mainland fans had problem with it.

I am not a big fan either but I am okay with master-disciple relationship if it started when the disciple is an adult. As long as there is no continuous Shifu/Shizun its alright.

Condor heroes is an old series that is not that popular among international viewers. Most of the fans that started watching cdramas post 2020 are more likely to have not watched that show.

People know that there will be age gap since its a pairing between human/yao, that is NOT the problem. Its that she was a mentor/teacher to him since he was 8/10 years old. It IS weird that an adult will fall in love with a person she helped raise. Yes, it is xianxia where people live for thousand of years but even those people have some sort of age marking for adulthood. And yes, it is fictional but it is made to be enjoyed by people in modern world. Everyone have their own ideas about what is acceptable or not in a fictional romance. So, it is normal that people don't like how the relationship is written.

I have watched till 14th episode but even the beautiful cinematography, costumes or LXY's face can't. convince me to continue. The mystery plot is all right but the main relationship plot remains to be unconvincing. Too bad, it could have been an entertaining drama.

An orphan girl from poor background who had to struggle throughout her whole life wishing to be rich is NOT selfish.

No one gets a PhD in 1 year in any field. Usually, it takes 3-5 years to complete your PhD. So, she is most likely in her late 20s or early 30s

Damn, HW really stabbed a knife into ZXW's heart by listing all the reason why she wouldn't like to be with him. Then further twisted the knife by saying 'that's only me , who knows My night think differently'. Felt so bad for him but the points she mentioned are valid and not something that can be easily overcome.

Oh definitely, her experience has made her very jaded and blind to what is in front of her. She has convinced herself that a person like herself can't be loved by men, no matter what se do. They'd rather prefer someone like MY. If she paid enough attention she would realize that she not one but two men in love with her. Then also it would be really difficult for her take a chance and put her faith and life in either of the men's hand.

Actually, I am liking the slow-burn. In my country we have a saying "Those who are burnt by hot milk, will be hesitant to take a sip of cold water". Not saying ZXW is cold water but yeah, her experiences has completely shifted her priorities. She is too cautious and honestly love isn't a priority for her right now.

She doesn't want to repeat the mistakes she made in her past. Unfortunately, she restarted her life when she has already married the 2ML and implicated MY's family. Now , she want to set things right, save her family and live for herself.

ZY is brilliant in this show and the storyline is very intriguing. It has low-budget and its obvious from looking at sets and costumes. I thought the first ep wasn't very interesting and the low-budget was off-putting. But by ep 5 I was sold on the show, at least try watching 4-5 episodes before dropping it. Mostly discouraging comments are related to shipping, if you don't focus too much on that it will be fine.

2ML continues to piss me off. Dude, what the hell do you want??? She is clearly telling you that marrying you was a mistake and wants a divorce from you. You never even liked her and only married her to save her reputation. Even though you thought that she was your childhood sweetheart, you made no efforts to get close to her. Now you know she tricked you into marrying her. She has helped you get together with your actual crush and saved your life. Still you won't let her go.

Is HQ being selfish here? Yes, she is but she has told you multiple times she doesn't want you or your protection. At this point what is holding you back? If you don't want HQ to get implicated in the case, divorce her and send her away from the city. Why keep her in his place, when Hua family's involvement is revealed, that would make things difficult for him too? Is it just to punish her for playing with his life. He is so wishy-washy, even with MY.

If they wouldn't have brought up the game repeatedly, I would have thought its more like a transmigration story. Who can play such a long game without any breaks, and that too this type of game? Was the original plan to have transmigration and then changed to VR game for censorship reasons?

Its more like a slice-of-life drama rather than a rom-com. FL is playing a VR game but it doesn't look like any farming game. ML is most likely another play. ZSX and TXW have very cute chemistry, and her family members are also nice. At least her immediate family, its the extended family that is making everyone's blood boil. There are many family conflicts that happen in a big family, domineering grandma, greedy uncle-aunts and scheming cousins. But overall it is very enjoyable.
