Tbh I made this account just to comment here!! U guys are all so cool, couldn't stop myself from joining in for fun. I have been watching c dramas for last 6-7 years and Road to Splendor is the first ongoing drama I’ve ever watched. I like to binge watch and can never wait for episodes but this drama truly hits different.
Someone commented it's good to hold the praise until the whole drama is completed and I completely agree. But so far, it's really good and I hope it stays good till the end.
What I find different about this drama is Zhao ling's character. Generally, MLs take some time to understand the FL’s ambitions and then start supporting her but this guy has been supportive and considerate towards her since day one (scene in which he hold the hot tea/water cup just to not make any noise and didn't ruin FL's reputation unlike Yu Jingxiu)
And every time I see Ding Yuxi bend down or offer his hand to help the FL get off the carriage, I’m reminded of those reels/YouTube Shorts where he literally ran to help Esther Yu at some award function. 😂
