BL Romcom that will stick to me for a long time
This might have been the best BL series I have watched so far in terms of the "feel good" effect I experienced throughout watching this. Just pure joy and heartfelt moments done right. I think this is why it is rated so high on MDL (9.0 right now!!) and IMDB (8.8).
But speaking on technicalities, there are some things that I wish were done differently. From story aspect, Tawan-Aran love line was really questionable, and what was even the point of Shohei and Tawan's friendship... But I love other changes they've done from the novel, such as removing Shohei-Lookplub loveline (cos it's weird af that both siblings got hitched by mafias??), and cutting the entire Wiwid drama (cos why prolong his existence in the story when Khun Thee can just cut him off).
Acting wise, I have to give the highest salute to Pond Naravit. He was the true embodiment of Theerakit Kian Lee. Man, he nailed the role to the point I have difficulties trying to imagine anyone else as Khun Thee. Est was also brilliant as Mok, all his mannerisms as a bodyguard were on point. The rest of the casts were decent, even the supporting roles, with just some not-so-positive notes on Phuwin’s crying scene. I think he can do better with less frowning while crying.
The OSTs are lovely and the team incorporated them very well into the series along with the funny sound effects. Well most of the times though, cos I feel like the sound editing, especially for the last few episodes, can feel a bit unsmooth at times like they were done in a hurry (I guess they have deadlines to meet??).
Despite all the minor hiccups, overall it was a marvelous series. You can tell that the team put a lot of thoughts and efforts into this (along with the high budget) and the casts gave their best. And just like my review headline, this is a series that will stay with me for a long long time. Will be rewatched from time to time, and will be my ultimate go-to if someone ever asks me for recommendation on lighthearted BL series. Simply amazing
