On Queen of Masks 5 days ago
A women-centered story about sismance, trust, loyalty, as well as revenge, back-stabbings, power games and corruption. With a storytelling that felt lazy often and many makjang elements it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but all four female leads, their wardrobe and interactions worth the watch.

On See You in My 19th Life 6 days ago
An interesting premise with an intriguing (though needlessly complicated sometimes) plot and a great cast, especially the child actors.
It lost some of its spark during the second half, mainly because the pacing became slower, the plot devices weaker and the romance build-up a bit lukewarm, but overall it was an entertaining watch.

On Teach You a Lesson 10 days ago
A loud and solid social commentary presented in a rather exaggerated and simplified way, through various painfully realistic cases.
Pure entertainment, with a brilliant casting for all the stories and all roles, fast pacing and masterful fighting scenes, and some absolutely cathartic slaps!
Highly recommended.

On Only Just Married 11 days ago
An enjoyable story of a fake marriage, with all the usual cliches and misunderstandings (in fact more than necessary), and some annoying side characters that took more screen time than necessary.
Nana and Kentaro did the best they could with the script they were given.

Title Bakudan
A dark, tense psychological thriller with a solid plot, a gripping narration and some brilliant twists.
Jiro Sato with his witty, provocative, matter-of-factly performance was fantastic and this film wouldn't be so enjoyable without him.

On Disappointing Husband 13 days ago
A story of marriage, parenthood and everyday domestic/work life of a couple that had just become parents.
Mostly lighthearted and funny, though it had some serious and frustrating moments, it felt too exaggerated and preachy sometimes. But, the character growth and the chemistry between the leads made it worth watching.

A balanced mixture of action and comedy, spiced with some nice romance, bromance and found family bits, in a story about spies, gangsters, corruption and revenge.
An easy, entertaining watch.

On Delightfully Deceitful 16 days ago
An intriguing pairing of an apathetic con artist and an hyperempathetic lawyer in a revenge story full of mystery, plot twists and tension.
Though the pacing was slow somewhere in the middle and some back-and-forth in the storytelling were a bit difficult to follow, it was an enjoyable watch and one of Chun Woo Hee's best performances so far.

A well-balanced blend of mystery, fantasy and trauma in a story of love, devotion and deep bonding.
Wonderful cinematography, superb acting and flawless storytelling made this drama a pleasant surprise and a great -though painful- watching experience.
Highly recommended.

On A Normal Family 18 days ago
A normal family bickering over morals and the value of life during fancy but pretentious dinners.
A normal family cruelly uncovering years of resentment and jealousy.
A normal family using social and financial privileges in every way possible.
A normal family trying to cover up some really messed up situations.
A normal family that reaps what it sows...

Three foolish men in a mission to save their beautiful, intelligent women.
Fast-paced, chaotic and funny, with some ridiculously dumb but hilarious moments.
Time well-spent.

Where to watch? I love this pair who kept their friendship alive in the Yoon series of variety show restaurants.
Unfortunately I only found it in a grayish yify torrent site :(

A charming short film with three talented leads giving us a feel-good, dreamy summer story.
Simple, concise, elegant.
Hong Sang Soo at his best.
- Why can't people see the good things in front of them?
- They think they have time for it later.

Title 1st Kiss
A warm, very affectionate story of grieving, longing, loving told through a unique time-travel setting.
With meaningful dialogues, a sincere approach that avoided being cheesy and cliche, and great performances from the leads, it managed to be heartbreakingly emotional as well as inspiring.
Sakamoto Yuji's pen never disappoints.

On The WONDERfools 22 days ago
Quirky and funny, with an unhinged, matter-of-factly humor and a team of unique superheroes who share one braincell.
Chaotic, adorably stupid most of the times, emotional in some others, cute even in its flaws, but definitely engaging throughout.
Time well-spent.

On Made in Korea 23 days ago
With great cinematography, captivating 70s noir vibes and a star-studded cast, this is a story of espionage, smuggling operations, power struggles, political and criminal conspiracies and an intriguing rivalry.
However, the narration was lacking, the pacing felt uneven and some characters were underutilized.
Hyun Bin's charisma and Jung Woo Sung's strong presence were the best parts of this short drama that wasn't bad, but could have been much better.
