An easy-watch romcom, with some pacing issues and an adorable Ju Ji Hoon, even if his character wasn't acting his age most of the times. The leads' younger versions were so adorable and the best part of this story.
An intriguing, unique concept presented in a very clever way of using flashbacks, balancing between dark quirky comedy, raw violent action and heartwarming family bonding. With a perfectly matched cast, and a wonderful performance from chameleon Bae Doo Na, this is a compelling, intense watch that definitely needs a second season.
I'd watch anything with Kim Nam Gil in it, but unfortunately this was something I'd like to forget: predictable story, not good use of most of the characters of season 1, too much parody elements and exaggerated situations rather than a coherent, engaging story. Some action scenes were good, some antics were worth smiling, but overall it was a huge let-down and a disappointingly wasted potential.
"Why do people tell lies?" ... "A lie isn't just something that's untrue. It also contains the desires of the person who lies."
A heartfelt story of two unusual partners that complement each other perfectly through their mutual understanding, support and character growth. Kanoko and Souma were beautifully brought to life by Matsumoto Honoka and Suzuka Ouji with an impeccable chemistry and charming antics, balancing gracefully between hidden truths and lies. Highly recommended!
A touching, healing story dealing with a very heavy subject presented in a youthful, optimistic way. Oh Ye Ju did and excellent job portraying her demanding character and is definitely becoming a force to be reckoned with.
An eerie, thought-provoking story about the meaning of life and death, and how regrets, choices, determination, desperation and love can be the light or darkness in someone's life. Devastatingly sad and, at the same time, full of warmth and hope, this unique concept -with all of its surprises, revelations and interconnections- was beautifully written and paced, while the stunning cinematography, the masterful use of darkness and light, and the exceptional performances from the cast made this a fascinating and memorable watching experience.
It may be difficult to follow the story, especially for people who aren't familiar with the historical facts, and may frustrate some others that wished for more spice in the relationship between the leads, but Nam Da Reum's talent and charisma were enough to make this short special enjoyable.
It took me a few episodes to warm up to it, I had a hard time to decide if I like this mixture of dark comedy and borderline sappy melodrama, I was really skeptical about most of the flawed characters involved and their actions, but the cast, the cinematography, the music and -most of all- the road trip without destination, as well as Woo Do Hwan’s charms, made this unbalanced drama quite enjoyable.

Though it had some good fighting scenes and some nice cinematography, overall it wasn't something memorable and the characters not likeable enough to connect and sympathize with.
