this season had its ups and downs, but there was something so special about the way the contestants’ backstories were intertwined with the dishes in the finale. it took me away from the fact that this is a competition and instead highlighted the fact that, at the end of the day, these are two hardworking chefs who pour their heart and soul into their craft.
ckr’s speech was so beautiful and moving. the humbleness of his character really showed in his dish, and it’s been so remarkable seeing him finally enjoy the fruits of his labour. what a beautiful way to tie up the finale.
i especially loved how different chefs were highlighted, their motivations for cooking, and why they keep persevering.
I supported Choi Kang Rok alongside others in S1, loved him in Please Take Care of my Refrigerator and rooting for him in S2. I was so excited he was in S2 and always cheer for him when he makes it passed each round. I have a soft spot for the Please Take Care of my Refrigerator Chefs, I was cheering for them too.
I hope the spoiler by the production itself was not true. Tbh, watching it now after knowing the finalist by their own editing mistake such a turn off watching Episode 11 & 12. No suspense as I already know the finalist before it aired😭.
Just skip CM's part if you can't stand him? End of the day its all for entertainment. It's Netflix, N.mafia potrayed…
Rather than arrogant I would call Napoli Matfia cocky. Boasting about himself but didn't look down on others as long as I remember. He show respect to everyone and talk nicely so he's still likeable unlike CM. That's why he's one of my fav last season.
im so happy that he's back, I adored him in the first season and in The blank menu for you precisely because he's so awkward but so funny! You can tell that he's super anxious but sometimes he says something so genuinely funny (but like stupid funny xd) and he looks like he wants to burst out laughing but he tries to be serious, it's genuinely so funny
They focused too much on the past, their past was already predictable, we didn't need that many scenes from the past, i kept fast forwarding a lot. Because of this timeline plot i slowly started losing interest, they would change between past and present 3 or 4 times in one single episode, it got boring and tiring. Even in the last episodes, i wasn't even interested in seeing them together as a couple in the present time. On a side note, Daniel's performance was perfect as always. Also, if their apartments face each other, how is it possible for them to have balconies next to each other? Every time I mentally visualize the floor plan of their apartments, according to what was shown, it doesn't even seem possible lol. I'm obviously just joking, i know it's not real apartments, but the directors have the job to make it look as real as possible for the show, but they end up forgetting little details like these.

Besides that I liked it. Sweet little romcom with two attractive couples.
