A fantastic watch for both those who read the webtoon and those who haven't. From the perspective of someone who loved the webtoon, this drama has to be one of the best adaptations I have watched. They understood what made the webtoon so captivating and kept that intrigue, mysteriousness, and suspension of reality in this drama. It is without a doubt created by those who cared, and it shows. What a way to captivate an audience into believing in magic.
The drama started off really well, setting up all the characters and their relationships well in a believable world. However as it continued, the tightness and completeness that the writers had established at the beginning of the series seemed to be thrown more and more to the side. As we neared the end, there were a number of unknown answers and abandoned plotlines. Overall a good series but one could lament if only they had that extra episode, how much more deserved would the ending have been.
Some stellar episodes, some not quite there. Still a worthy watch. I would say that the main couple did lack chemistry to sell the relationship, but this isn't a romcom so we overlook that :)
well it's a live adaptationthey would change some of the things, but the "heart of the story" was still thereI've…
I would agree that at the beginning they kept the heart of the story, but I would have to argue that towards the end it felt somewhat lost and opted to steer more towards the cliche route. And I also think its fine if the script writer changes the material, but like you said I personally think that the changes lost the "heart of the story".
A cute drama, that initially I had great hopes for - it seemed faithful to the webtoon it was based on. However, as the drama continued, it was clear that the script writer had decided to change a lot of the original material, which resulted in the characters lacking some major character development point. Namely, was super disappointed with how gramps turned out. The cast were amazing though.
Overall a cute drama to watch, however it left a lot to be desired. I would definitely recommend reading the webtoon as I can guarantee you will fall even more in love with the characters.
The last murder was Kang Ho-SunI found this youtube detailing his crimes was really well put together! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tULoFeydVgs&ab_channel=CoffeehouseCrimeIf…
If you are talking about the last murderer were Song Ha young was talking to in the interview, I'm pretty sure it was based off the Hwaseong Serial Killer who was later found via DNA evidence.
Looks like from episode 5 they will show Yoo Young-chul aka the infamous Raincoat Killer based on the preview…
If they are working on the Daesung serial case, I think it draws more parallels to the Hwaseong serial killer - especially with the wheat field, the canal and also the scarecrow.
If anyone is interested in reading the actual webtoon, it is available on webtoon with english translations (link below)! It hasn't been completed yet.
Wondering what route they will take the story down for season 2, considering that the first season had a decently conclusive ending. Regardless excited to watch s2 (whenever it comes out)!!
